'The government put "extreme pressure" on a school to stop lessons on LGBT relationships... after it contradicted the Islamic faith' [Link] The government is happy to promote a set of beliefs which contradict our tolerant western values. They have no backbone and learned nothing from Rotherham. Scared of being labelled the fabricated term of Islamaphobes by the intolerant left. Edited by Penge Eagle (26 Jul 2019 12.53pm) As someone who firmly believes that there must be no religious influences of any kind in any school and that every child, whatever their background must receive teaching which reflects British values, standards and morals I abhor any attempt by parents, or anyone else, to try to overturn that. It must not be allowed to succeed. However, if you read the article this was NOT an attempt to stop the lessons, as they will be resumed for the Autumn term. This was an instruction to suspend them so that the heat could be taken out of the situation before it got out of hand. From what I read the intention is to consult and explain. Requests to the media were to ask them to stop writing inflammatory stories which made a bad situation worse. If public safety is at risk then it must be expedient to adopt a short term strategy so as to find a long term solution. Therefore this kind of comment, suggesting that the government are promoting another set of values is simply untrue. It makes for great headlines in the Mail and the Sun and is fodder to the rabble rousers like "Robinson" of course, but it isn't the truth.

This post has been merged from a topic called 'BBC fake news - Tommy Robinson' by Midlands Eagle He's a disingenerous pin dancing NPC Penge, no point even engaging with him. I find it amusing that confronting Souby in the street and calling her a Nazi is considered criminal.....When we can have a guy who shouts abuse at Robinson all day, pushes two women to get to him and in a separate incident then throws an actual milkshake over him and instead gets a lift to the train station from the Police.....getting praise from established figures in the media and complicit silence elsewhere......Even Williamson the defence secretary at the time put a photo of him with a McDonalds milkshake on his Twitter. These people are utter hypocrites who don't give a damn. Souby called select opponents 'Nazis' in a TV interview....not only that she called for action to be taken against them. This is the establishment protecting itself and punishing its critics while it ignores the same and worse 'abuses' elsewhere. I have nothing but contempt for them. Bloody cheek from the BBC. I suppose the next thing that will be suggested is that Ofcom is biased! I think myself that this goes a long way to disproving the frequent claims that the BBC are breaking the impartiality rules for if they did then Ofcom would clearly act. RT is a mouthpiece of the Russian state and, as such, a lot of it's output is propaganda, albeit cleverly disguised as news and well presented. The BBC is independent of the British state and for that we should all be grateful.

In the interest of balance, of course.

Someone has to do it. I have been on too many far right forums to be bothered about the predictable abuse and attempts to silence me.
