Ignoring the little girl comment, lets look at it constructively. But if Wayne comes back from international duty with renewed confidence, maybe some of it will rub off on our defenders. You could look at it in another way.. Is our defence not good because they have a terrible goalkeeper behind THEM ????

What does it say about me, out of interest? Ah come on cpj could drum up figures from any where to just prove he is right. The one and only way to see how good Wayne is is to look at where we were last season in the table and where we are this season...He aint doing a very good job as a keeper is he??

The fact that you use the word hate because I think he's not very good. I don't hate him. Over the last eighteen months our league form has been shocking save for a couple of short spells. This started with a 3-0 defeat at home by Chelsea when he spilled the third goal followed by the fabled Villa game and then him diving over the ball from a 30 yard shot at City to put them 1-0 up. All in the space of eight days IIRC. Off the top of my head he was poor for City's winner at home last season when he laid on the floor in no mans land from a corner. Showed too much of the goal to Ibrahimovic for his winner and allowed a soft Swansea shot to go under his body for their winner at home. He was at fault for Costa's goal at home. A poor performance away to West Ham, at fault for Sunderland's first and then beaten too easily by Defoe's first (their third). He was questioned for Eriksson's winner that beat him on the floor from thirty yards I could go on but, as I've said before he's slow, has poor reactions, lacks bravery, fails to make use of his frame and his handling is questionable. His kicking is great. GK is one of the most important positions in the team. Don't kid yourself he's not one of the reasons we're in the position we are now. Not even sure he's Championship level despite being in his prime. Hence the reason he gets so much stick from us fans.

Doesn't seem to effect the Welsh defence, so it shows our defence needs to improve. We have 2 fullbacks that cannot defend in Ward and PVA. If you looking for the plight we are in, you need to look beyond the goalkeeper.

Those stats are from the official Premier League site. Sorry if they don't agree with your opinion. So in your opinion the only difference between last season and this is WH playing badly???? Have you seen our 'goals for' column? Incredible.

I hate perpetuating this sterile thread but I venture to suggest that the Wales defence is far, far better than ours and thus Hennessey plays with greater confidence. Confidence breeds success and we just don't have it.

Yes, if we got De Gea, Lloris, Courtpis, Heaton or Pickford then it would be an improvement but that isn't going to happen.

You appear to miss the obvious, Hennessey is fine playing behind Welsh defence, not Palaces. Therefore is not Hennessey that is the problem, but Palaces defence, its just so obvious.
