I read a group of local scouts in my area are hoping to break a world record at the jamboree in Brighton this summer. The are going for the world record for making each other laugh without speaking.

Before they go ahead the would like to have a trial go down on the seafront first to see how many people in the area would support the main event in June

Lancing, do you think there would be a lot of interest in Scouts Test Tickles in your area ?

Why are you asking me? I’m not gay. I don’t talk incessantly about homosexuality. I’m not the one with the fixation.

I notice that many regular Holmesdale posters have refrained from contributing to this thread, which is to their credit.

If you really want to know its purely to get a rise out of you and see your supercillious superiority complex come shining through in your posts.

Also it beats seeing your latest series of pictures of two bricks piled on top of each other

I have always accorded Crystal Palace respect on this site. I have never commented on your results, except to give credit where it’s due, such as when you won 4-2 at Reading under difficult circumstances. I have expressed (qualified) sympathy for the situation that Simon Jordan has put your club in. I have extolled your club’s place in the fabric of English football and, by extension, the culture of the working classes.

It seems that trying to make a constructive contribution to this forum, rather than indulging in the usual moronic point-scoring, will cause one or two people to accuse me of having a superiority complex and to brand me supercilious.

I know that you find getting respect from a Brighton fan a difficult concept to grasp, but try to get your head round it. If you succeed then you might find that you’ve become a better person, which wouldn’t be too disagreeable a scenario for you, would it?

Of course there is respect for any football fans. But mate, this is a Palace Forum called "Come and Have a GO"

Allow us to indulge our humour.

We may not be here next season.

With those comments the prosecution rests...take that fucking great pole out of your arse and you might find you become a better person, which wouldnt be too disagreeable a scenario for you would it ?

Unless you want to keep coming across as tedious, uptight, humourless bore of course

At a recent dinner party I was seated next to a food technologist who proceeded to enlighten me about modern preparation techniques for cold meats. One particular method involved addition of water at high temperatures as this added to the shelf life (apparently)

Brighton fans: Have you ever experienced a hot beef injection?

i was recalling my childhood by reading some AA Milne books yesterday.

Brighton fans, did you know Piglet, Eeyore and Christopher Robin were followers of the Seagulls ?

Apparently, they played with Pooh too

Can any one of you answer the following questions honestly?

Do you think that homophobia is right or wrong?
Should homophobia be encouraged or discouraged?

Lancing, ask those questions in General Talk and you'll get a sensible answer. This is "Come and Have a Go" - maybe the clue's in the name???

In the meantime, perhaps you could assist a friend of mine, who was sold some fruit that is far too unripe, and has had trouble slicing it up as it is too hard for her rather blunt knife. Do you have any suggestions on how to split a raw peach?

Goodness is what you do. Not who you pray to.

I can

a. wrong
b. discouraged

What do I win ?

On a side note - The gay friends that I have will sleep sounder in their beds if I told them that they have such a savage and determined homophobia watchdog looking out for them on the HOL even if he cant distingush between the juvenile stupid humour, of which they themselves regularly indulge and true homophobia - They will appreciate the patronisation I am sure.

My neighbour has noticed that the water barrel in his garden is leaking.

Do any Brighton fans know where he can get some butt plugs ?
