After spending hours of their life writing this rubbish you get a well deserved beating. Mmmmmm what's that I can taste, humble pie??? Ha ha bloody ha. Hopefully you will continue to be sad and carry on because it seems like good luck for the mighty seagulls. Look forward to round 2 next month Aw! Look how excited they are to be off the bottom of the table! It's heartwarming, it really is Edited by dowie101 (20 Oct 2005 1:07pm)

17/10/05 McGhee announced he would drive the coach up to Palace tomorrow. "I want to show the players that I'm pulling my weight for them, so they should tomorrow pull their weight for me keeping a clean sheet. I'm not so bothered if we lose, just as long as we keep a clean sheet". McGhee later dished out copies of the notes taken from yesterdays crisis meeting to every squad member for them to revise. 18/10/05 Palace 0-1 Brighton The win was Brighton through and through, except the goal itself, which was provided by on-loan Man U defender Paul McShane. The goal-scoring hero wasn't letting the glory go to his head after the match. "I'm delighted to have scored this important goal for Brighton," he stated. "Now get me Ferguson on the phone. What more do I have to do to get out of this dump?" 19/10/05 McGhee threw the entire squad a party today in celebration of their win against Palace on Tuesday. Paul McShane was carried around on his teammate's shoulders, whilst Tamatha Pebbles put in an appearance wearing just red high heels and a Man United shirt. Leon Knight was later found slumped in the team showers, cradling a bottle of Jack Daniels and crying to Guy Butters, wondering where his superstar days had gone. 20/10/05 The squad was in for extended training tooday, in preparation for next Monday's match. "We're playing Sheffield Wednesday," said McGhee. "So we're starting our training on Wednesday. It's just a hunch but I think it'll help us get inside the opposition's heads and really understand their game. We certainly don't understand ours, so it's got to be worth a go." Brighton today announced that the shirts worn by the Brighton squad against Palace would be put on eBay. "We felt the fans would want to own a little piece of history: a shirt worn in a Brighton away win. They're pretty rare collectors items." said a spokesman. "Hope we sell them though: we need the money to get the other ones clean since the washing machine broke down last week." Brighton had the day off today as they are playing Sheffield Wednesday on Monday. So McGhee took his players on an oversees trip to keep the morale up. "I wanted somewhere continental like, so I looked at the club finances and came up with Isle of White. It's got a off-license for Leon and there's a fun fair for Kerry Mayo, so it should be a great day for the lads". 23/10/05 Brighton announced today that they would be erecting a statue of Paul McShane in honour of his winning goal. "The gold leaf and the diamond-studded seagull logo on his shirt might be a bit pricey," said the chairman, "But it's worth it to commemorate the greatest striker the Albion has ever seen." One game where 11 guys soured the use of the Red 'n' Blue shirt should not put an end to a series of comic genius... Wow, they won 0-1 against a team playing to 0.01% of their potential, by playing their heart out... Give McGhee a knighthood...

24/10/05 "I just want to dedicate this goal to my mum," said Kazim-Richards. "She always believed in me, even when Brighton weren't doing so well, she was always there to tell me that the manager was rubbish, or my team-mates couldn't pass to save their lives. Look at me now, ma!" 25/10/05 26/10/05 "I think I'll give the manager quite an insight," said Maureen. "Just today I've noticed that young Kerry Mayo over there tends to re-arrange himself a bit more than a respectable young man should. It's not the kind of example he should set to the young boys here." When told that she was actually looking at Leon Knight, Maureen stated that after 20 years perhaps she might need a new pair of glasses. 27/10/05 "We've scored 4 goals in our last 4 games, which is an incredible strike rate. If we keep this ratio up, by the end of the season we'll have, oooh, at least a hundred I reckon." 28/10/05 Although the plans are controversial due to potential negative effects on the surrounding village and countryside, chairman Knight was confident it wouldn't be a problem. "If people want countryside, they can go elsewhere. This country is covered in grass and trees, what it needs is more top flight football. We're very concerned, however, about reaching out to local residents who may be worried about the development, and so we'll be sending out free Seagulls stickers to all the houses in the area." "The plans look awesome," said Richard Carpenter. "Apparently, each stand actually has a roof. It's amazing what they can do nowadays. I'll be looking forward to playing at the new stadium against the best teams that League One has to offer." 29/10/05 "I really feel we've turned a corner," said goal-scoring hero Dean Hammond after the game. "Today's result sent a message to the rest of the league. It sent a message saying look, we could be out of the relegation zone any minute now. So think on." In other news, rumours surfaced today that, in order to fund the approved stadium at Falmer, Brighton were considering various secret endorsement offers with certain squad members. 30/10/05 "It's been a great couple of weeks: we've scored all these goals, and we've got the new stadium coming, but none of it quite compares to the Kenwood BM200 Bread Maker my wife got me. It's got 13 automatic programs with one hour keep warm function for maximum versatility, and is available in two colours. I can't wait to bake up some treats for the lads. Thank you Kenwood! And my wife, of course."
