For someone who had a go at me for being a know it all, you do a fantastic job of it yourself. Thank you, appreciated ! Although I don't recall calling you a know it all. Yes I could have done and I chose not too. My tolerance level to posts like that is at an all time low - probably a by product with my own frustrations about this season. You're pretty fond of slagging people off yourself. If I dish it out occasionally, I realise I'm going to have to take it too.

I too get very tired of hearing this silly rhetoric that Parish is sucking all the money out of the club and where does all the money go. I thought your post was logical observation and had a base to it unlike some of the others.

Who said that we are selling a major asset ? Pure media speculation given that the transfer window is open and Olise’s garnered some headlines recently. Where does the money go ? Well the last set of accounts showed Palace running at a loss of around £25m . Your suggestion that Parish benefits from selling players is totally ludicrous as well as being without foundation. The top clubs do have things their way, that’s largely true. But you might want to recall that last summer Parish repelled a bid from Chelsea for Olise and indeed got him to sign a new contract. I suspect you have chosen to ignore that. If you had even a basic understanding of how football works you would understand that if the Academy is truly successful then it is a means of generating income . If we can develop an Eze or Olise ourselves and sell them on for significant fees that go towards the bottom line then Palace become more financially sustainable. As for the “ new stadium “ which is actually a new stand, it’s clearly been a more difficult job than anticipated. Building in a residential area presents many challenges. The Premier League isn’t difficult to fall out of love with. It’s far from a level playing field financially. In the circumstances Palace have done well to stay in it for as long as they have . Sadly I do not think any analysis of the club accounts will ever provide a true picture of the state of the overall financial position as the overall structure includes such delights as Delaware LLP's and foreign companies/partnerships. These by their very nature are opaque and designed to limit taxation in the UK and abroad. As for the new stand, yes it's in a build up area but it should not be that difficult! We have had planning permission and compulsory purchase orders on affected properties were in place. They have lapsed once and probably will do again as costs spiral and this gets ever more an unaffordable white elephant

Too many posters like that on here. Ironically, you could write exactly the same message about yourself re: the claim of Parish lining his pockets. We're always going to be a selling club until such time as we are playing regular Champions League football. We're not going to be the new Bilbao where we have 11 players from Croydon in the team. The thing that always surprises me about people being open to relegation such that we play the youngsters more is we just fall a step back on the food chain to the time in our lives when our best players were going to Wigan! I don’t pretend to have in depth knowledge of planning permissions etc., both I think you are over simplifying it !

I've said it time and time... having the opportunity to play in the prem should be an honour and something respected, but not to sell your soul to keep up and stay in it. It's a money trap. The first objective when in the prem, say from promotion, is to build a fantastic championship squad, with strong youngsters - you want to add a couple of players that you know can be sold if relegated - you want to fight, enjoy the journey and season and the aim is to be better than 3 other clubs. If that doesn't work - you are back where you started, but with the same or stronger squad, with the prem money helping you. You go again, that's the beauty. If you stay up, you look at it exactly the same, you want to add to this amazing championship squad with players that want it. You offer a couple of players the window to play in prem. You fail, you know a couple will go, wages gone, then you have a great squad for championship. For me, it's always been about scouting and being better than 3 other teams - the goal should be 40 points and each season you hope to achieve that quicker. It all went wrong for us with Pardew and loan signings and throwing money on quick fixes that have long term issues. after 11 years in prem should have a way better squad... I'm saying the best of the champ, esp London clubs in lower leagues should be lining up to join us for an opportunity.

He is going this window or next, July 1st we get 60m, before we may get more, if we do take it and replace him with Morgan Whittaker, he may never play a full game again, in business you have to know when to sell and buy, we wasted 40m+ with Wilf don't repeat it with Olise
“That’s a joke son, I say, that’s a joke.” “Nice boy, but he’s sharp as a throw pillow.” “He’s so dumb he thinks a Mexican border pays rent” “ “Son… I say, son, some people are so narrow minded they can look through a keyhole with both eyes.”__ Forhorn Leghorn |

It's too late now. Chelsea supposedly have an asking price of £80 million for Conor Gallagher. On that valuation, Olise is a bargain at £60 million.
