In recent seasons I've hated it when we've played Leicester because of how well they've pressed our midfield and backline into mistakes, while they tormented our fullbacks. None of that was on display yesterday. I have no idea what has gone on with their spending but the fact they are on an FFP watchlist despite selling Fofana for 85m suggests their success in recent years was built on sand.

I can only imagine Rodgers saw the MotD highlights reel rather than the game when he said they were unlucky!!

To the best of my knowledge, Leicester have acquired 6 players this season, including 1 on loan, with an outlay which could reach around £55 Mill.

One of those players was central defender Harry Souttar who cost £15 Mill rising to £20 Mill. His weaknesses were there for all to see yesterday.

I don't really get Rodgers feeling hard done by, they were beaten by the better team.

They defended well, and he made the right call with the HT substitution, then the sucker punch, but they were not hard done by.

I notice HT subs making the difference elsewhere, I never got PVs subs and Roys are usually late on, ok this time it worked.

Give the opposition something to think about, don't give them an advantage.

They were not hard done by. In this game the stats did not lie. Rogers is fighting for his job.

Leicester were at their best in recent seasons when they had the likes of Vardy and Tielemans firing on all cylinders. In defence they had Fofana,Evans and Soyuncu.Pereira was an attacking threat and Schmeichel was in goal.

Vardy has only scored 4 goals this season in 32 appearances. His goal return in the previous 3 seasons has been 17,17 and 23.
Leicester are a pale shadow of the team that finished 8th,8th and 5th in the last 3 campaigns.

It's shocking just how much the quality in their side has diminished in such a short time. Evidently they have money issues. If they can fall from grace in the way that they have, it could very conceivably happen to us.

We aspire to be a club that buys players, develops them, and sells them on at a profit. Whilst I agree this is the right way to go, you only need to look at Southampton and Leicester to see that you can't necessarily go on forever unearthing talent to replace the outgoings.

Just want to add.... Harry Souter... he's a bit s*** isn't he? Just grabs handfuls of shirt, flesh, hair etc. He did it all game. Watching that winning goal back, you can see it's all he had to offer as last line of defence, and epitomised his 90 minutes. Less than a year ago they had Wesley Fofana. How times change.

Standard manager response. How many times did Vieira claim we deserved more from a game?
Post match interviews are a waste of time.
Was it a penalty?
A. All day.
B. Not a chance.

Had a right result with my bet. Mateta is my favourite player at the moment for obvious reasons.

Haha, nice one.

It's funny, because predicting our most expensive centre forward to have a shot shouldn't really be an outrageous bet... and yet going back a couple of weeks....

He is 6ft 6in and can pass a ball out of defence but he is certainly not the quickest or most agile and can be exposed on the turn. His weaknesses were there for all to see yesterday.
