Yes I want us to stay up and yes I do believe we will stay up. Maybe Dyche can breathe life into Everton but the other teams below us but Forest and Wolves plus the bottom 3 are all in negative goals and above -14, will they really pick up the points and the goals to stay up?

My big worry is the financials, have we put away the money for rebuilding the main stand (I heard we had) and the loss while the rebuilding is going on and the the current inflation is also covered then great (I think that the lack of new players is the reason for that).

Enjoying getting up later and not having someone who knows better than me (apart from the missus of course).

I for one would certainly NOT be filled with glee and certainly NOT looking forward to playing in the Championship after a decade in the PL.Reality would really set in when the fixtures are published and when one see a plethora of empty seats in the ground.

3 of our next 6 games are against teams in the top 6.
We also play a resurgent A.Villa who have won 5 of their 7 PL games under Unai Emery.
We are also at Brentford who have not lost their last 6 PL games at home.

I appreciate that clubs have achieved instant promotion, Norwich,Burnley etc however Nottm Forest spent 23 seasons in the lower divisions before returning to the top flight, Leeds 16 seasons before their last promotion to the PL.

The championship is a pig of a league to get out of.
So many games,full of failed Premiership sides who weaken every season financially if they don't come back up & as has been said, Dirty Leeds and Nottingham Forest took ages to come back.
Our status in the Premiership should have been borne in mind in this window.

Agree with all your points, but I wouldn't put accepting relegation (which I don't think will happen) down to complacency and arrogance based on the belief that we'll come straight back up.

While I think the chances of relegation are slim and none, if we did go down I wouldn't be that bothered not because I think we'd be promoted the following year but because I simply wouldn't miss the cesspit of the PL. It's an awful league; utterly pointless. 14 clubs exist only to make up numbers so 6 or 7 "bigger" ones can generate additional revenues.

I support and watch CPFC, not who we're playing. Put me in a competitive, honest, league where we have a chance of success (NOT guaranteed success) and I'll be happy watching football every week. Put me, for instance, watching Palace at Blackburn, Burnley, or Birmingham City; local teams whose supporters care about their clubs instead of being surrounded by plastics at the Etihad and you won't find me crying.

I've seen Palace in Division 3, Division 2, Division 1, and the PL. This s***ty, money-obsessed, selfish, plastic excuse for a league we're in now is by far the least pleasurable I've seen us be involved in. But hey, that's just me.
