so I am not on anyone’s side but if this woman is an activist with previous; then surely removing her from the area is reasonable and legal.
I mean if ten people with previous for ER protests with a bucket of superglue stand at clacket lane what are they about to do. The very thing that we want the police to stop but if plod waited until they’re stuck to the M25 before acting there would be all sorts of questions. That’s a mad analogy but all of us want people stopped or searched before they get a chance to commit a crime or hassle people. This woman could have approached a woman requiring the services of the clinic at a time when a woman’s head would be all over the place, fortunately she didn’t get the chance (again); which she has before according to reports.

You get it! Thanks for talking sense.

I used the M25 analogy myself earlier. It produced denials!

Not a useful comparison as ‘sus’ was used indiscriminately and rarely discovered anything, in this case they actually targeted and arrested someone loitering with intent, maybe if they’d harassed dozens of random white women in the same area your point would be relevant.

She was there, again, focusing on the abortion clinic. That is all we need to know. And that is why she was arrested yet again. She intended to be there, she wasn’t a bystander. As such she wilfully broke the law, one which she had broken many times before and knew all about.

Give them time. The Sus law had been around for 150 years as opposed to a few months.

Oh, so now it doesn’t fit your agenda you want to move into the realm of supposition. Whatever.

In the video at the start of this thread the policeman specifically asks the woman if she is praying, she says maybe in my head and he then arrests her.

i.e the admission of possibly silently praying triggered the arrest.

Responsibility Deficit Disorder is a medical condition. Symptoms include inability to be corrected when wrong, false sense of superiority, desire to share personal info no else cares about, general hubris. It's a medical issue rather than pure arrogance.

Was that really the first part of the video though. Experience on the media says there was a chance it wasn’t or was a reply to her statement.

Seems appropriate since the whole case was based on supposition.
In any case what agenda?

imagine if she was praying , not to the christian god, but to one of the more recent Gods ?

i bet the cops would have been a lot more 'polite & respectful' ?

Would support the police closely monitoring/possibly arresting anyone with imaginary friends. Might clean the place up a bit tbh.

There’s no supposition here, the video clearly shows a known activist in an area she is banned from protesting in. There are some desperate attempts to claim she was arrested for a “thought crime “ when the simple fact is she wasn’t supposed to be there.

I think this is the crux of the matter. Rather than a specific defence of this lady; it's concern that these restrictions might be extended to include other protesters in less emotive circumstances.
