I was at the match on Sunday with my mate, who's a hammers fan. Of course, I was delighted with the result but had to sit on my hands all through, Lol. Now, delighted as I am, the truth is that West Ham did, actually, allow us, gave us permission to play and so it pandered to our strengths. Give our artists licence and they will use it. In truth the whole Hammers show was an embarrassment from the manager, through the team and the fans - who were unsupportive and crap throughout. I said to my mate before the match that if Moyes had done his homework he'd have a high press on us and not allow us to develop play at all. When it came to the match, the opposite was true - they allowed us to get out of defence easily, develop play, turn when we wanted - like a free reign. One thing is sure: Forest won't allow us such luxury.

It was the best, open display of passing that I've seen from us all season, tbh. The way we linked, the speed of pass and the way we spread the play was a delight to watch. How's that, SM? In reply to your comments about the high press danger. When we played Leeds, that danger of the long ball was there but it didn't really help us, did it? Yes, we won the game (or rather, Leeds lost it lol) but when they pressed us high, we were just swamped and unable to develop anything, regardless of Andersson's undoubted ability to pass long.

I wasnt at the game - on this open display of passing - I know when the Olympic tax payer stadium was being gifted to Wet Spam one of the talking points was the distance between the stands & the proposed pitch (basically how to minimise the effects of having the running track where it was)is it possible that the pitch at that stadium has been made as large as it can be to try to bring the game closer to the stands / improve the atmosphere & that helped give us extra space to play the passing game ? There was no doubt this was Palace at their best, we looked like the home team for most of the game , and if we had not found that late goal, we could only have felt we robbed ourselves. But your right W Ham did not shut the Palace mid field down at all, in fact you will rarely see ,Eze, Olise, or Shlupp, with so much time and space. Don’t think you are knocking it , and I certainly ain’t but not many sides will stand off us like that. So we take it for what it is a one off three lovely points.

There was no doubt this was Palace at their best, we looked like the home team for most of the game , and if we had not found that late goal, we could only have felt we robbed ourselves.
But your right W Ham did not shut the Palace mid field down at all, in fact you will rarely see ,Eze, Olise, or Shlupp, with so much time and space. Don’t think you are knocking it , and I certainly ain’t but not many sides will stand off us like that. So we take it for what it is a one off three lovely points.

To answer my own question - According to google - WH pitch is 105 x 68 meters & Selhurst Park is 101 x 68 meters, so yes the WH pitch is 4 meters longer but no wider -
