I'm still puzzled as to why Jeffrey "I can only pass backwards" Schlupp starts most weeks. So bang average its ridiculous. Hughes and Dacoure should be in the centre. I would take Luka or Jairo over him any day of the week. That was as bad as I've seen in a while. 100% agree that we need a RB. Ward, Schlupp, Luka, Ayew are substitutes at best, although at least Wardy and Ayew put a shift in most weeks Do you seriously expect a club with our resources to have anything better than "average" players? Does it not occur to you that the better-than-average players migrate to the wealthier clubs via higher transfer fees and wages?

Back from the game. One of the worst 90mins I’ve seen in 30 years. Nobody put their hand up as a decent performer today. Vieira subs made us worse not better. Leicester were very low on confidence as shown but they league position but we offered no threat all afternoon. Ayew was abysmal from 1st min so the de is up to leave him on and play him in several I’m not expecting a win from every game but no shots on target against bottom of the league is unacceptable.

I don’t think wilf is fully fit he was quiet all game and subbed off, I think against Leeds in the warm up he wasn’t happy, ayew maybe the same , will Hughes was sick too so didn’t make squad , could be there’s something going around the squad at the moment, it certainly looked very flat all round today

This performance stinks far worst then what Brighton left in the changing room. No point even turning up if players are not going to even try to play. 15min left time to do something. I am waiting for PV to pull off the likes of Eze next.

Some might think this ridiculous, but I would start Jairo in centre midfield next to Doucoure with Eze between and in front of those two. Perm any 3 from Zaha, Olise, Ayew, Mateta, Edouard up front. Primarily we need to stiffen up the centre of midfield. I disagree with those who don’t like Doucoure, I think he has been given a baptism of fire given the absence of Jimmy Mc and has performed admirably. Hughes should possibly be considered for a start too but he wasn’t even in the squad today so is either injured or has upset PV. Zaha, Eze and Olise need to be told that if they don’t help out with defensive midfield duties then they get subbed off. We can’t keep carrying our silky smooth players just because they are skilful and produce the occasional magic. The problem with Jairo is, he doesn't tackle, thats why he only gets picked as a last resort. Not ideal for a midfield role.

He did have a quiet game alright . Lets hope we can find a replacement with his ability if he does leave .

I think what also highlighted today was just how bad we are missing Gallagher this season. No creativity from midfield whatsoever. It also seems that when we do get close to the opposition goal we seem to panic and either try and walk the ball in or pass it back.

I don't regard Leicester as a Watford or Norwich, they have a lot of quality. It shows the strength of the PL that they are where they are. Vieira pleased with an away point but not the manner, there didn't appear anything wrong defensively with Leicester. No goals conceded away is not to be sneezed at, but plenty of work needed. Good to see Jairo back.

1) I suspect we often do worse against lesser teams because they don't take us lightly. 2) Vieira's subbing today was likely predicated on the fact that we have three matches in 8 days. Given our lack of depth, he hoped we'd be up 1-0 or 2-0 by 60 minutes and would then hold them off. Because our offense was pathetic, by the 60-70 mark he was counting on magic for a win or settling for an acceptable away point. 3) It's still hard to watch us play passive football. Part of the problem is that two of most skilled players are mellow, smooth, technical players. We need more MacArthur/Gallagher energy in the midfield engine room. Surely Dougie & Co. are searching... 4) Luka played better than usual, but it's currently a low bar. Wish he'd let Eze try the half-volley – with his right foot – rather than banging it uselessly. Selfish. 5) Although Guehi played nervous today (the Southgate effect?), we're lucky to have him. 6) MOTM Guaita is looking more assertive in the air – good sign.

Very disappointing game. Lacked creativity and any real ideas going forward. Some very poor decision making in the last third and numerous misplaced passes in all areas meant we were totally toothless all afternoon. Mitchell is currently having a mare and Ward was repeatedly turned inside out and had clearly been targeted for his total lack of pace. Guaita played well (thankfully) and accompanied by Leicesters lack of confidence and poor finishing we escaped with a welcome point. Good support from the travelling fans (as ever) but nothing to actually get excited about sadly….put this one behind us and roll on the next game.

Yes , i think for some of the players they revert to Roy ball, Panic and send it back to Venciente . I hate to say it but i dont think Gallagher is the answer though. He is more a work horse than creative . He brough energy to the team with his high pressing and constant running and lovely bouncing hair. We need a Cabaye type player that sees the big picture on the pitch and picks out the runs of attacking players .
