I have been engaged in various conversations with a plethora of supporters and the consensus was that they broadly support the intended 'Direction of travel'

That's hardly surprising as they were the idiots that put her in power

Wanting to make the rich poor is another of those extreme statements I keep hearing, like the ‘’you can’t tax out of a recession.’’ Both are exaggerations used to influence people too lazy or without the capacity to think beyond beyond fed something to satisfy their need to not have to rely on someone else. Anyway, sharing the wealth makes everyone poorer isn’t true anyway. It’s again another exaggeration to frighten and keep loyalty. Thatcher’ ‘’Pulling everyone up (and some up much more than others) rather than pull everyone down’’ speech in parliament had a lot of credibility, but it’s quite different to the stuff I’ve been hearing. Her words were accurate of course, probably thought through to begin with and targeting a socialist Labour Party rather than a sulk and strip the world doesn’t agree with truss policies that Thatcher didn’t implement for a while into her tenure and certain issues were under control. Ahem, certain aspects of the economy and inflation. What we’ve had is Truss pushing through everything now as she carries through the promises she made the nutters who voted her in.

Excellent posts Rudi! Did you see the lizzy interview in America? She was trying her best to look like an old maggie T, with eye liner stretching her eyes, but also speaking slowly, with a massive plumb in her voice- if she concentrated more on the direction of the country rather than being a maggie lookalike, she might do better!Yes, I said plumb in her mouth- as oppose to two plumbs of someone elses loins!

Unbelievable interview by the Conservative Party Chairman Jake Berry on Sky News this morning when he claimed that "it was "nonsense" to claim that the government's tax cuts are helping the richest and said that Liz Truss has an "absolute mandate" from the 2019 election to carry out her new economic policy."

The bloke must be living in cloud cuckoo land if he believes that to be the case

Surely everybody in 2019 knew that it would eventually be Truss with Kwarteng as chancellor? If they didn't, they should have. It was obvious all along.

Even with the chart in front of him he was in denial.

He's not 'Willo' is he?

Yes I’ve noticed her copying Thatcher. It’s really embarrassing. I’ve heard she was terrible this morning with Laura Kuensberg. Speaking slowly, pausing, unsure, all the rest of it.

The lying and deflection have reached new levels this week. I’m hearing 71% of the Tory party don’t support her or something. Tick tock then

Liz Truss silent after BBC reporter asks how many people voted for mini-Budget.

Lengthy pause - 'What do you mean?'

If she actually said something and got it right I can ignore it. Unfortunately isn’t up to scratch in any way I can see so far. She’s terrible in interviews and under questioning. Actually she’s terrible at presenting too. I’m not sure what she is good at. Perhaps spotting her opportunity via a certain group and nobody else. There won’t be many quiet days on this for quite a while that’s for sure. Her speech will get a lot of attention, but for reasons she doesn’t like. I think I heard her say something about not judging her then but on what she’s doing or something. Problem is she can’t answer questions at all so it doesn’t go down favourably with people not seeing it.

Yes, a good interviewer will put her to bed in no time, no pun intended, even a not so good one!God only knows how they thought she was the answer!

She and her side kick will go down in infamy.

I don't know how she sleeps at night.

The 5p cut should have been in the basic rate.
