No one will touch him with a barge pole because people think he has turned into a spoilt brat. That maybe true, it may not be. I've never heard any of this before about AWB

Doesn’t seem overly serious. He’s young and I’d cut him some slack. A move back to Palace may be just the tonic he needs to rejuvenate himself and get grounded again so he can push on with his career. He would have to be realistic with wages though and realise that sometimes in life a step back can lead to steps forward in the future. Wilf needs to have a word with him as he’s been there….

I wonder if the return of AWB is still more in play than many think. It's all gone quiet on the rumour front and, despite Man Utd broadcasting his availability, there's been absolutely zero interest. That means whatever price they're hoping to get for him has only gone down and on present evidence, AWB's market appears to be at rock bottom, even lower than it was two months ago. That would suit us. Meanwhile, Ward and Clyne are perfectly able to get us through this season but neither is the future and Ferguson, still capable of playing only 30 minutes in a pre-season game, seems to be running out of time. It seems to me that AWB's now bargain-basement price, Parish's (justifiable) love of ex-Palace youth players and our need for a long-term solution at RB might yet see this one happen. I doubt it's a high priority but if the right deal was on the table, I wouldn't be surprised if it happened late in the window.

The 'he's young' excuse really wears a bit thin. He's a professional. Playing for one of if not THE biggest club in the World. If its not an honor to have that position and turn up each day on time and he cant stay out of trouble most big clubs would not really be saying @ah, but he's young' They'd be saying grow up or ship out. Why is it that we deserve less professionalism from him than Man United? We dont.

Watched him in todays farcical match, came on in 2nd half, proves one thing, imho, he's a brilliant RB, NOT a wing-back. That said, here's the conundrum, IS he what we need AT THIS TIME?
This operation, will make the 'Charge Of The Light Brigade' seem like a simple military exercise. |

Olise isn't the strongest defensively and AWB would now have Andersen and Doucoure to give the ball to rather than carry it forward himself.

The media keep on this move. I can't see it happening unless they offload him at a REALLY cheap price. We have Ward, Clyne, Ferguson*, and now Richards as backup. * Although Tomkins played RB last game and he played CB.
