Sturgeon will argue that this law was democratically passed by the Scottish parliament and the will of the Scottish people (debatable). If Westminster strikes it down she will play the victim. My suggestion is that the Tories should isolate Scotland. That may mean a small bill to ensure that Trans people in the rest of the UK can't use the Scottish law as precedent to force it through the back door in the English courts.* *If you use the democracy argument for Scotland you can't then argue that the courts should overrule Westminster where it hasn't been passed.
