I for one was very pleased to see Macca back in action today. It seems to me that his absence has coincided with a gradual decline in performances.

Even though they weren't playing, I thought the ref should have awarded a penalty to Liverpool.

Why break the habit of a lifetime.

He scored a fluke goal and then went on to have an awful pen miss.

Zaha deserves all the bashing he is a guy who asked to leave because he believes he is champions league quality.

Mateta didnt start the game another hint you didnt watch it and when he did come on he was putting in a lot of effort he just doesnt have the quality.

Schlupp yep shouldnt be starting and many people have stated this and Edouard what you expect from the guy he is not be played as a striker and you see him coming across to the wing doing a lot of defending the role Wilf should be doing also he is getting almost no service when he does manage to go up top.

PV is showing he will play only one way Roy was the same the big difference is Roy setup to not lose also he didnt have the quality we now have yet still managed to do better job.

You really talk nonsense. Zaha’s goal a fluke! Zaha did a lot of defending today. He didn’t say Mateta started, he did come on though, if you watched

I only saw the first half , fell asleep for the second (true story).
Do our strikers practice scoring goals in training?
Eduard put a lovely ball through to ayew, one on one and he can’t even hit the target, you’d get slated for that in Sunday football. We’ve got 4/5 strikers that are all reasonable (none any better that reasonable) at the areas of play that don’t include scoring goals. At actually finishing chances they are all f*cking useless.
Actually every Palace player (Gallagher is a Chelsea player) , are a joke in front of goal. The 2 big lumps at the back are pony at attacking the ball , no point us even getting corners.
The midfield just smash the ball over the bar from the edge of the box and when the forwards miss they don’t even look surprised.
If that chance fell to Antonio, Bowen etc they win one nil.
The same people on here arguing for benteke, mateta etc, all your favourites are f*cking wa*kers and shouldn’t be called forwards.

Take conors goals and assists away and we’d be bottom 3.
I started this post quite reasonable but have got more wound up as I have been typing.
They are f***i*g sh*t in front of goal though aren’t they.

I’ve thought the same about Gallagher for some time and is why I find the “work in progress” type comments hard to accept.

Very frustrating performance overall.

Passing and decision making in final third today was very poor. Zaha and Ayew guilty of killing many attacks in promising positions by misplacing a pass or losing possession. Bad day at the office and another opportunity gone where we could have collected 3pts.

Still have to remind ourselves the team is in transition
... it was frustrating last year not winning without the ball, and it's frustrating this year with the ball!

Clutching at straws for positives but it was good to see MacArthur back, another good game from Mitchell and the two CBs looking very assured.

Next up an easy 3pts against Chelsea and then the Roy derby!

I wonder how much longer it will take Ayew and Zaha to "transition" into players that pass well and don't lose possession, or for our 'fun boy three' strikers to become effective strikers (etc, etc).

Palace since 19 August 1972. Palace 1 (Tony Taylor) Liverpool 1 (Emlyn Hughes)

Easily, because there really are at least 3 teams who are worse than us!

Some on here think this team is good enough for a top six finish, I love that to be correct, then I woke up!

Safe to say our game won't be the first on MOTD tonight!

Dad and I watched games standing on the muddy slope of the Holmesdale Road end. He cheered and I rattled.

I watched both games thanks. I meant none of the other attacking players over the last two games have offered much whether it was a start or from the bench.

No fluke with Zaha’s goal against Norwich. It was a superb finish from a high quality player. It’s not the first time he’s scored from outside the box (Chelsea at home, Huddersfield away) which shows it was not a fluke. The penalty was a slip and could happen to anyone.

Don’t see why Zaha wanting to play in CL annoys you so much? He’s probably missed the chance at this stage of the career but in his prime he would have been better than lots of players at that level.

We are poor away from home because of our slow build up. We have no counter attacking ability at all because we are too busy fannying about at the back

I don't understand why PV persisted on his play from the back nonsense. same regardless of the opposition.

I dont think PV knows his best front three. In my opinion for what its worth it is Edouard Mateta and Olise but Olises flair is sacrificed because Joel needs too much cover these days. New RB is an urgent priority for us to progress

Well in my mind they may well not be starting by the time we've fully transitioned. After this summer's transfer window is when we'll really see what PV's CPFC looks like.
