Not for me. This would be taking a chance on someone else’s young striker, who cannot get in their team. Don’t we have our own young strikers in the U23 we could try? If the answer is ‘we see ours in training and they’re not good enough’ then I’d be worried that we’re NOT seeing someone else’s and thinking of spending a few million.

Not for me. This would be taking a chance on someone else’s young striker, who cannot get in their team. Don’t we have our own young strikers in the U23 we could try?
If the answer is ‘we see ours in training and they’re not good enough’ then I’d be worried that we’re NOT seeing someone else’s and thinking of spending a few million.

Not sure about this. Rumour's are that his wage demands are high. Also feels like he is doing us a favour by coming to us rather than a hungry young player who seems to be what we have signed recently. I'm so Palace I don't even know it

I think you're right. I'm now hearing that his wage demands are the sticking point once again as they were in the summer and that the club are cooling their interest and looking to keep JPM till the end of the season instead.

I have to say that if this is what is happening then I'm not at all sorry.

Sadly:
a) I doubt we will be able to afford CG and
b) I think he'll go to a bigger club who will be prepared to give him game time, if Chelsea make him a bench sitter.

Sounds like this is off based on the press conference. And to be fair, Arsenal are short up top so might be keen to hold onto him vs lose him for a few mill. He'll likely get some minutes now Auba is out.
