I saw this video today and I think it perfectly illustrates the issue current in journalism regardless of left/right or any other angle. The corporate journalist is a mouthpiece for the CEO and editor...who the CEO obviously puts in place. For donkey years we heard many on the left complaining about Murdoch, but they would say nothing about their own media....They are all the same and all mainstream media is essentially a gate keeped narrative. We need journalism that is more free and less restricted but we have been going in the opposite direction. This journalist obviously grew frustrated with the narrative operating at Fox and wanted to expose, what in truth, most of us know...but isn't said, because they want to maintain the conceit for Joe Public. While I think criticism of alternative media can have some points it's also true that selective alternative media can also bring you more honest takes because while they don't have the money behind them, they are actually telling you what they think....rather than what their editor thinks.....You can gauge whether they are on the level or not. And you the individual aren't only being fed the versions your particular media overlords want for you.

Was astonished when I heard a black presenter discussing the Meghan "racist" comments at the Palace story. The presenter, Nuna Akua, made the joke that she herself has got mix race kids. They gave her the name Ivory but when she was born with darker skin her and her friends joked that they should've named her ebony instead. I was surprised but it was refreshing to hear someone make a joke about race and colour of skin.

The " left " generally, not every single one, have a real problem with non white people who are centre or right of centre. The ex MP for Kensington and Chelsea had an issue with Shaun Bailey and liked or retweeted a comment with a slavery allusion. It's the UK version of Biden's "if you don't vote for me you ain't black". I don't understand Stirling's comment but assume he is accusing a black woman who makes a joke at her own expense of being racist......confused? I am

A black man disagreeing with CRT will drive a lot of people focking nuts. How dare he not be dependent on white supremacist approval for his progress in life. Originally posted by Stirlingsays

Good to see Isabel Webster is on the GB news team,I didn"t know she had left sky, quite cute. My abiding memory of her in 15 years at sky was presenting the morning sunrise show with Eammon Holmes, she was talking about tower bridge and said she remembered it been built, 10 years ago. Eammon smiled, and said what do you mean? She said it"s only about 10 years old, Eammon said are you joking? She was deadly serious, and when Eammon said its 150 years old or something, she said it"s not, google it if you want! Eammon said, I dont have to google it! It was a tad embarassing and the show ended, I was waiting for the 6 am start the next day, she was sheepish, and apart from a quick quip from Eammon the episode was soon forgotten, by most. Welcome to GB news Isabel!

Very true, they regularly expose the corrupt and unethical within mainstream media.....leading to absolutely nothing of course because elites are too wealthy to be accountable. But at least the material shows the underbelly of the beast for what it is for those that can be bothered to notice. Edited by Stirlingsays (20 Jun 2021 7.29pm)

How long before it folds? The novelty's worn off. Surely unsustainable.
Dad and I watched games standing on the muddy slope of the Holmesdale Road end. He cheered and I rattled. |
