Personally I think over 75s should have the option to pay any amount from 0 to the full fee. This is a good idea. I would bet a lot of over 75s on healthy pensions wouldnt begrudge paying the subscription if that type of system was implemented.

Scrap the licence fee and get the BBC to have adverts. They already show a load of drivel between programmes so they might as well be adverts. Yep

The BBC is an outrageous bargain. £157.00 per annum for all that? And you do have the choice of having it or not. It would cost you a fortune to get the spectrum of coverage the BBC supplies. The only thing wrong with the licence fee is that it is too low. And why would our elderly tories mind paying, after all they put them back in power. Don't knock it!
This is a wind up right?

Plenty of other better presenters available at lower cost, is he really that good? And is still allowed to spout anti- government rhetoric on social media, hiding behind “I’m am not a BBC employee” mantra

Do they still go round checking if you have a tv license with the van with a satellite or was that fake? I thought the only way was banging on your door otherwise just don't pay for the rubbish.

Someone at the BBC wants ‘jingoistic’ music and singing such as ‘Rule Britannia’ and ‘Jerusalem’ etc banned at Last night of the proms in light of the BLM protest movement. Seriously. Edit: Richard Morrison of BBC music magazine wants them banned. Another unneeded waste of money. Why does a tv station need a magazine? Because he’s a nice woke guy they can’t let him or the magazine go. Oh and the conductor on the last night is a woke woman. Edited by Rudi Hedman (11 Jul 2020 8.44am)
