Didn't see him on the touchline screaming and organising. The players may have let him down but he has let us down today.

Hodgson should try being a manager on match day, he’s not a spectator. All this negativity after the Man Unt game saying we should expect some bad games, why do you think the players get nervous. Had enough of him now

Don't blame Roy. These men have been playing the game since they were 3 years old. Enjoying a one-goal lead in extra time -- vs. 10 men -- they should do nothing but hold the ball and milk the clock. And if they lose possession, they should delay the Wolves at every chance. Don't blame Roy for this.

Exactly. Our game management towards the end was ridiculous. Why hoof the ball to Benteke when it just surrenders possession. We should have kept the ball moving it from side to side finding the spare man. We didn’t and the rest is history. Disappointing but we could have been a couple down at half time so take a point and hope for 3 next week

And whose job is to tell the players what to do, to try and calm them down. Or to make a change so we're not holding onto a 1-0 lead.

Absolutely incredible on this forum that people want our manager gone. We were about ten seconds away from 6th place and above Man Utd, Spurs and Chelsea. You only get rid of a manager if his team is rock bottom of the league and going nowhere fast. Look at Watford now and long before them Charlton if you think of getting rid of Roy is a good idea.

I’m sure it’s part of a manager/coaches remit to organise and communicate with the players during the game.

If not Roy, then Ray should’ve been informing and instructing the players in order to see the game out.

Why-oh-why they don’t guide the players through the last stages of the game either tactically or just through reasurring others is a basic quality of a manager or coach!

I don't want Roy to go, at least not this season. He's obviously a great manager and we are very lucky he came to save us. But there are flaws to the way we play, and they have been there for a long time and haven't been sorted. The lack of game changing substitutions, playing so conservatively at home and against 10 men, still unable to organise the attack. We have every right to question these things. But getting rid of him now would be absolutely mental.

Best post on here all day. There are some absolute idiots on here who haven’t a clue. We were the better team for the 1st 20 minutes and battered them second half. Benteke and Schlupp both missed sitters plus the numerous other times we could have scored.
They scored because of poor defending and Ward missing a header yet these same clowns think Guita should have came off his line quicker.

This result had f*** all to do with Roy we had every chance to win and the players f***ed up.

There appeared to be needle between Zaha and Benteke a couple of times today. On one occasion Zaha didn't seem to trust Benteke with the ball when he was in good position facing the goal. Not sure how much of this contributed to their misunderstanding at the end.

I didn't like the Benteke sub for many reasons but think the game still continued to go our way and we played some decent football. Ultimately Roy can't put the ball in the net for them.

I hope Guaita had a few words with them at the end as he had most reason to be aggrieved. Superb keeper.

Second half performance was good enough to merit 3 points. That goal was a sickener.

I was certain they would score after the Benteke and Schlupp chances. It’s a cliche, but you get punished if you don’t take your chances. Same as Leeds vs Derby on the box yesterday.

Tactics are negative but Roy is doing well. Had we won that 2-0 (which should have happened) we’d all be delighted.

Gonna have to get that out the system quick and move on. Beat Norwich next week and we’re back on track.

So for all the attacks we had, how many clear cut chances did we create ? Not that many. This is down to the coaching and the players not being drilled well enough. Wolves were also far superior in the first half.
