We were absolutely dreadful. Useless freekicks and corners, poor passing, lack of passion. Not happy.

Why keep playing Schlupp at the start in this sort of free role when we have far better players and then Bat is not setting the world on fire so he doesnt deserve to be starting either. same old narrow football every week this doesnt work against teams of our level it's more suited ofr defending and then breaking you cant do that at home or smaller/same level teams the final thing the subs are awful how can he not see what we see the games not going our way losing control so you bring others on yet he will only do change when forced to or wants them to get only 5min run out No argument here. Schlupp should not be starting ,Mac was awful today too.

6 points to the weed. I hope our over-privileged team and particularly the manager enjoy the rest of the day and take the opportunity to think about the remaining home games at home, and be brutally honest to themselves that the current strategy does not work. This should be a catalyst moment. The stats do not lie. Nothing will change.

Disappointing result, but they played the same way we do away. Did the same to us as we did to Burnley and Leicester.

Not good enough. Palace at home are a disappointment.

What I think the problem is. The 433 is only good as a counter attacking system, usually when playing away. At home we should resort back to the 442. It served us really well last season when we had to take the game to opponents. Especially at home on a tight pitch etc. Away from home, we can stick to near enough what we’ve been doing. Same personnel. At home, Wilf can go back into the ‘free forward’ role. If he's lacking opportunities & wants to drift out wide, he can. Batshuayi partnering him will give him that freedom. But no defensive responsibility. Max Meyer can come in & go into the RLC position of last season. Like he was doing very well for a few games earlier in the season. Allowed to roam inside, get forward and link up with Wilf. He's not a tenacious or battle-like central midfielder, he never has been. He's a playmaker, and for us, that's been his natural role & where we've seen the best of him. Something like the following - Guaita AWB - Tomkins - Sakho - PVA Townsend - Kouyate/Schlupp - Luka - Meyer Batshuayi - Wilf

wilf is awful as free forward. every one on a team has to defend in modern football we need to stop playing people who dont deserve it and use big man up front to strengths if benteke is in give him the balls he likes like the direct diagonals. roy just drops people in to the same system you cant do this and schlupp would be better coming on as sub when he does perform he is always better second half also he has no right getting in before many other names unless you was using him as a winger/left back Edited by grumpymort (09 Mar 2019 2.36pm)

That loss is entirely down to overly conservative management. We were always going to have most of the ball. Why start Schlupp who offers next to nothing against packed defences when we have Mayer, why only give him 15 minutes when it was obvious from about the 5th we needed more to get through the parked bus. Just not taking the game to them. All on Roy for me.
