You're not allowed to criticise Croydon Roy, and anyway, at least we, the players, Sean Dyce and the pundits know what's going to happen now. Straight back into training to do exactly the same as the last 200 sessions so that we can play exactly the same next game.

The media have been all over RH in recent days due to his record breaking days in management. Some interesting quotes, which more or less boil down to the game is worked out in training the week before, players must not deviate from the game plan, whether they play badly or not.
Given this I can't blame the players - I doubt Schlupp wanted to go to full back, he is probably as bemused by that decision as the rest of us.
I always thought RH has only one plan and last night proved it. Tactically inept, inflexible, bizarre subs that take momentum away when we are doing well.
Our home form betrays the truth.

Very disappointing, really thought we'd get something from the game - Max has to start, I thought he was terrific.

Yes, it's like playing cards with your hand showing outwards...

Ward as much at fault as Schlupp for the goal. AWB would not have turned his back on the attacking player. Remember when people were saying RB isn't that important as a position and we should sell AWB? This is a good example of how important fullbacks are. One thing though, why is Schlupp marking Lukaku on corners?

Or not as the case may be?!

Letting him run free at their first corner was criminal and should’ve cost us dearly!

As much as he has improved and has also scored some vital goals for us, he lacks conviction to track back, he doesn’t go with the runners and shows little desire to put in the committed last ditch tackles and blocks that are usually second nature for experienced defensive players.

what great value our season tickets have been this season. Unmissable viewing at Selhurst week after week

didn't expect much from last night but at least have a go ffs, it was a free hit after Saturday. Sick of these nothing performances at home. Yet again it takes us 45-60 mins to start playing and be proactive. Just looking at the midfield 3 before the game has me yawning...

Our players looked decidedly resigned to defeat last night. We almost never beat Man U. The last time was in the 90's I think.

Without Wan And Sakho our defense looked ponderous and static. I hope they return soon.
I'm sure we target games for maximum effort so I'm guessing Brighton, Huddersfield and Cardiff will be priority games for 3 points.

We probably need 3 wins or equivalent points from 10 games to be safe.

First half reminded me of the Chelsea game. Just too passive.

And I think we missed AWB and Sakho collectively more than Utd missed some of their injured players.

Meyer certainly made a difference when he came on, and after Ward had scored I thought United looked like they were tiring and we might pull it back. Not to be.

As for the other subs, not sure what Hodgson thought that Benteke could bring to the party. PVA has been largely off the boil of late and it shouldn't be asking too much of Schlupp to revert to a position he's familiar with, but conceding the third almost immediately rendered that move virtually pointless.

I sort of understand why roy took PVA off and moved schlupp. Pva has been poor lately. You can put up with his poor defending while he gets forward well, but he hasn't been doing that lately either. Petsonally, ic give schlupp a run st full vack snd bring max into midfiekd. What really disturbs me is the way we play so narrow at the back. Attacking full backs havd so much time on the ball, every game it's the same.
I would have loved to have seen him bring on Benteke to play alongside batusuia (excuse spelling).for the last 20 mins or so. He looked pretty isolated for most of the game and we didn't get the ball into the box quick enough for him. Really need to try a different formation when things aren't working.
