I recall an unsavoury incident with a vagrant in Hove, many years ago when this chap approached me as I was devouring some chips. The scruffy chap asked me "Have you got any scraps ?" and before I knew it reached for my chips with his grubby mits.It wasn't long before his jaw made contact with my clenched fist.I'm afraid you get these undesirables all over the country. Fair play, Willo. Your posting demeanour wouldn’t put you at the top of the list for dishing out right handlers.

I have only visited Crowborough town centre a couple of times but only during the day and many years ago. There is a statute of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle at Crowborough Cross.I never viewed Crowborough as somewhere to avoid.I have also attended games at Crowborough FC but that was quite a while back as well. I believe Crowborough is quite high up and this can be an issue during inclement weather. Edited by Willo (15 Oct 2019 8.51am)

I once was a 1-2-1 Maths tutor for a very horny care worker in Crowborough (she had an assessor for her HND but needed a maths qual). Pretty girl and very shapely, filled out her work polo top extremely well, said she was having a lesbian affair with a woman from Lincoln but was very flirty with yours truly. She was about 21 and I wasn't - wasn't allowed to teach at home only at the workplace, she would say on occasion that she was 'home alone' - and she was bi at least, should have risked a few 'crammer' lessons, another one slipped though my fingers, still memories of Crowborogh can come in handy if online p*** is unavailable and one needs to bash one out.

It's been mentioned early on in this post but I must concur with SLADE GREEN. Listen to me... just don't ever go there!!! Also, if you ever get on a Dartford to London train which suddenly alights at Slade Green and they say it's for shunting or some bollox, don't get off onto the platform or worse, wander across the road to the shop.
Mine's a light and bitter. |
