You may be completely loopy but at least you're fun Steely.

Not the worst attribute in this crazy world.

No one you support does.

Those who might have joined recently would have been members before so there's no disfigurement, simply a more truthful reflection of where the right are at the grass roots level......Just as the Labour leadership are actually now a more truthful reflection of the Labour party membership at the grass roots.

So you are against the majority of the Tory party......and yet you have the cheek to say that it's that fraction who should be leaving it.

You are in the minority, not them. You don't believe in leaving. Most Tories do believe in leaving.

Delusion! Just because people voted to leave in 2016 does not in any way mean that they support the type of exit supported by the ERG/UKIP group.

That leaves aside all the other arguments about people not really understanding the complexity of the issues, the way the campaigns were waged or that people might have had second thoughts.

Do you really only see things in black and white?

Just because a majority of Tory voters might have voted leave in 2016 does not mean they support the ERG/UKIP today.

Please note I am talking about voters and not about members. Both the major parties seem to forget that they need to bring the voters with them, just as you are doing.

Multiculturalism is a necessity in today's world and to try to hold it back is just as foolish as Canute trying to command the tide.

No-one I am aware of believes in open borders, despite all the claims to the contrary. People get confused by compassionate responses to humanitarian crises which are the moral duty of us all.

feminism is despotism

multiculturalism destroys countries. Loads of countries do fine without it.

Of course it’s true that many people may have changed their mind but many people may have changed their mind after any election or referendum without their calling for another. Democracy in action.

Why? Are you a misogynist?

Not in 2019. No country which is open to the world can ignore it. It just needs to be managed. It won't destroy anything and managed well can vastly enrich, as it has us in the past.

economic migrants are not a 'humanitarian obligation'

I didn't suggest they were. There is a big difference between those who are escaping oppression and those who are seeking economic improvement. Some though conflate them.

Which whilst true is not relevant to Brexit. This is an almost unique situation in which the benefit of hindsight can be harnessed to pull the country back from the brink, if that is indeed what the country now wants.

The only way to find that out is to ask them.

Well there you go! I would have confidently predicted that despite you being "out of here" that you would not be able to resist responding.

I am sure that you sincerely believe that you haven't got a racist bone in your body. Many people don't and continue to deny it even when faced with overwhelming evidence to the contrary.

My wife has seen much more than me, and I suspect you too, and her attitude is clouded by that because the circumstances are entirely different. We can discuss this objectively and I do listen to her, just as she does to me. The lessons of what not to do, and how thoughtless responses can make problems worse are partly as a consequence of those conversations.

You are in denial. You won't realise it, or accept it, let alone admit it, but you are. Very few people describe themselves as "hardliners". Everyone believes they are in the middle but whether you are, or not, doesn't depend on you. It depends on the opinion of others. -

I suspect that you agree with the sentiments of those in the "ERG" led by Rees-Mogg and/or Farage. That you aren't alone is obvious but that this is a hardline approach is as equally obvious.

I am in total agreement with Anna Soubry, who is one of the very few MPs talking common sense at the moment, that the ERG members need to be thrown out of the Tory Party asap so that it can get back to being a force for good.

Well there goes your credibility.

You are just blowing hot air. You live in a fantasy and I wish you luck with it.
