Monumentally incompetent by Hodgson. Game was crying out for a target man for the whole of the second half and he had not one but two of them on the bench whilst Ayew bimbked about out there and did nothing. Then we let a goal in and he still doesn't change it. It was bad enough whilst Benteke and Wickham were injured but now it's absolutely inexcusable. His game management is wirse than Pardew's. Absolutely pathetic and totally unacceptable. As for Marriner, words fail me. Saints should have finisged that with eight men, red card fouls consustently ignored, and Wilf looks at him the wrong way and he sends him off. If anyone else did their job as badly as that they'd be sacked on the spot. An absolute travesty and a dusgrace to the game.

Yes, that was the worst refereeing this season by a country mile, an absolute clueless performance by Andre Marriner, but he did allow our goal by playing advantage after yet another foul or, ..did he not see that one as well!! Such an awful performance I'm actually shAKING With rage!

So what does Roy see in Ayew when he had Wickham and Benteke on the bench? Ayew was played out long before the end, and Benteke could have held the ball up. And as for Marriner - no need to ask, he is Clattenberg in disguise. A performance to rival anything by the late great Mark.

Can’t condone Zaha for getting sent off but the guy was fouled all match long. He doesn’t need protection just refs doing their jobs properly. In truth our final ball was bad again tonight, we should have had it wrapped up before the equaliser. Thought when we had 11 on with 15 to go a Wickham or Benteke for Ayew (who had an okay game) was called for. Mariner - Nightmare match.

Marriner was dreadful throughout. He missed foul after foul and when he did see them he took no real action. His one plus was the advantage for our goal when Andros was taken out. Second half Tomkins mugged right by ref in their penalty area and Wilf WAS fouled on the touchline. WArd-Prowse then feints to throw ball in Zaha's face but he should not have been in front of him and then once getting the yellow to then mock Marriner is just plain stupid Steve
