He clearly didn't rate Delaney (one of my all time favourite players) and no doubt didn't appreciate him being given a new contract the week before he 'retired'. Kinda undermined him not to mention the noises Parish was making about lack of money to spend in the summer. Why hang around and subject yourself to more firefighting? 100 percent mate.

Funny you mention the pods. They are desperate to get him on so both Hambo on BOTN or JD on FYP pull their punches big time. Diyar K or Kevin Day do stick the boot in though. People running football clubs are generally given a lot of passes as half of them are bonkers. I could never listen to HOL Radio interview him - so sycophantic and cringing

Then De Boer joined and under him we signed Sakho for £26 Mill and Ridewald for nearly 8 Mill.Add that to the £46 and it is around £80 Mill. De Boer didn't want Sakho and went off in a huff when we went in for him IIRC.

So that's over £50million on Sakho and Benteke. Think what that could have bought with the right scouting.

One supposes that due to financial constraints, the signing of Sorloth who scored 1 in 2 in Denmark and Ayew who scored 11 goals for Swansea last season (Including in both games against us) for a combined fee of an initial £9Mill was viewed by the club as good business but of course it hasn't worked out. Signing a striker who has been relegated with two clubs and one who has already failed at a higher level is not good business, it is just plain stupid. It is a waste of 9 million quid. Who watched these players? Stevie Wonder? Edited by Hrolf The Ganger (06 Dec 2018 4.57pm)

Her benefits package includes a dart board and subscription to the Daily Mirror.

In Jan he spent around £35 million and obtained the Beast on loan. His appointment worked for both parties, he steadied the ship for us and the club helped him rise after his England debacle. What sort of money was going to be available for him in the summer was between the parties. Be surprised if it was near the Jan level.

Would I swap Pochettino for Roy (if such were possible)? Yes I would. Does that mean there's an obviously available, smart alternative to Roy? 100% no it doesn't. The board have made loads of errors, signing players for over 25 million is our biggest strategic error in my book. But I reckon fans of every club in the land thinks it's easier than is really the case.

Here we are, not cut-adrift,not in the relegation zone and there are brickbats being hurled at Messrs Parish and Hodgson. One can only imagine the furore on here if we get relegated on the back of transfers which don't work out and what supporters deem to be under-investment in players.High-grade ordnance will be dropped with liberal helpings of vitriol very much in evidence.

Small margins , Like others losing to the Scum is very tough to take and believe a lot of discontent now is due to the loss.Im my opinion we have been playing relatively well up to the Brighton game and with any luck would be on 20 points already. Let’s look at the situation after Xmas and then can see weather Roy’s the man to take us forward . Like everyone else believes we do need a striker but can anyone definitely say who on our budget who will guarantee us goals ? .Really think the board are waiting on Benteke or Wickham to produce and f they do will add a couple of decent squad players and try to offload the rubbish. In my opinion the safest option.
