A great point which we fully deserved, one thing is playing Arsenal, the other thing is you really need the officials to do their job. Today they were unbelievably bad.

To not keep up with play is one thing, to not refer to the linesman when the Palace players were saying Lacassette handled the ball was outrageous. Then not sending off the Arsenal full back who came on at half time for them. I counted 4 fouls committed by him before he was eventually booked, the first one was straight through the back of Wilf.

Then to compound a miserable performance, he flagged for an Arsenal goal kick when the ball ran off for a clear throw in. Martin Atkinson you had a stinker...

To my mind we were the better side and I never thought I would be typing this. No one would have begrudged us the win if we had managed to pull off such a feat.

What was impressive was the way we showed great character after going behind. Our heads never dropped and we showed a real desire to get back in the game.

A most unexpected and welcome point and certainly a lot of positives to be taken from our performance.

Shouldn’t be an unpopular opinion. It’s spot on. Luka was poor today but he showed real bottle with the pens and maybe that will be the turning of his fortunes and form today.

But no doubt about it, he gave the ball away a lot, once in front of our Box, he fouled for Xhakas free kick and he passed waywardly. There was one instance with Zaha free down the left and he passed it straight to Liechstiener I think it was.

Agree though, we were the better team bar one 10-15 minute spell.

I saw something today which has been missing
Players calling each other out for bad play.
It looked like wilf called out luka for not clearing or passing at one stage.
Then luka called wilf out for not passing.
Personally i think its a healthy thing to do that to your peers as it can only help.
After that both played better.
Just an observation.

Any kind of point against that lot in the form they've been in is pretty good and we could've had more if that handball had been called. Zaha back looking like Zaha, Sørloth looking like a player at last, good hold up and through ball to Zaha leading to the second pen, and Kouyate looked much better too.

This is definitely more like it.

Best performance of the season so far and hopefully it will prove a turning point for us.

I was disappointed we didn’t win but would have taken a draw all day long before the match.

The points we have gained up to now have flattered us.

Hopefully, Roy will stick with this starting line up and formation and realise that we need to make good use of subs before the team is tired.

Just want to say to those cynical plastic Palace ‘fans’ who were all doom and gloom on Facebook and elsewhere and who were predicting a thrashing and stating ‘what’’s the point in going and wasting an afternoon’ - just take your misery with you and go and support Arsenal!

Always remembering walking from the Holmesdale to the Whitehorse end at half time!

I agree that Luka had a bad game aside from burying the two pens. The free kick he gave away that led to the goal was awful.

Another unpopular opinion: I didn't think the ref was that bad. Yes, he missed a likely handball, but that was hard to see in real time. Unless he's sure, he can't call that.

Aside from that, he gave us two pens, which looked like obvious pens to me, but how many times have we been screwed out of obvious pens by other refs?

Like someone said, I half expected to see Wilf get booked for diving, since that's usually the treatment he gets from refs.

Wilf does so much better against top clubs because they aren't kicking him for 90 minutes. He actually gets space to do his thing.

Anyway, great performance today, but I'm frustrated that we don't play this well against Everton, Wolves, Southampton, Watford when we could pick up the 3 points.

Luka’s two great penalties more than compensated for his generally lacklustre showing.

Have been disappointed by Jimmy Mac so far this season.

Sorloth isn’t the most gifted of players, but he’s direct and adds urgency to the attack. I think he will improve.

The performance has given us belief for the sequence of tricky matches ahead.

Here’s hoping we can also kick on at Boro on Wednesday.

Difficult to be too critical of that performance.
Lots of plus points and plenty of endeavour.
I do think we could have won the match and Arsenal did not convince, in particular defensively.
While Meyer did well, he did nothing to suggest he should be the first name on the teamsheet and he ended up,on the floor on a number of occasions with the physicality of the game.
I would like to see him further forward in attacking midfield as he does seem to be on the same wavelength as Wilf.

Hang on a second, we hadn’t scored at home this season until today, what are we supposed to be?

If you are honest with yourself you would say that the players have been massively off the pace, especially at home so far. Today the players rolled their sleeves up, but make no mistake we are still bang in it...

Plastic Palace fans, have a word with yourself.

Luka may not have been at his best so far this season but he can never be accused of being 'lackluster'

Jimmy has been outstanding in doing what he has been asked to do in closing down opponents .

Sorloth had better improve or he wont get much game time

I agree the result should give us a lift for the next few games

I thought Luca was way better today.
PVA was to blame for their first goal giving him the ball as he did in my opinion.
He bleeds red and blue and will go on from today and get back to his old self!
