It's funny how the pundits keep saying the ref made up his mind at once, can't have had any doubt about it, as if that were evidence of the correctness of the decision and the proper decision-making process. As far as I'm concerned it's evidence of the diametric opposite.

I think I agree with you, I'm not sure . Hang on il get my dictionary

Honestly, the decisions weren't THAT bad but it's all too common, seeing the 50:50s going against us.

The red card had to be given but the penalty was so soft. If it had been the other way, commentators would say things like 'there's minimal contact there' and 'he could have stayed on his feet, but the referee has fallen for it'. Whereas when it's Liverpool it's more like 'there's the touch and Salah goes down, as he's entitled to do'. Frustrating but the blame doesn't lie solely with the ref. They got lucky.

Sorry I have to disagree with you on the red card , if you watch the replay you can clearly see, Salah had knocked the ball too far forward and was not a clear goal scoring opportunity and therefore only a yellow.

I just re-watched the sending off incident multiple times. It does look like Salah lost control of the ball before AWB catches his calf and then he appears to exaggerate the fall. It does very much look like he milked both incidents which is not very sportsmanlike and I really hope Palace appeal the red card.

Straight red, three match ban if contested and lost.

One match if we don't contest.

VAR could've changed the whole result?

Maybe. At least with VAR I feel that most decisions will be correct, without VAR there is more doubt and the reasons why we despise so many referees.

I can't wait for it tbh

Sportsmanship seems to have gone out of the window and the big clubs are the biggest offenders. To me the idea that players have a right to throw themselves on the floor following minimal contact is ridiculous. Both times Salah decided it was easier to cheat than stand up to a challenge and take a shot. Contact or not, it was clear he was looking for the foul, and made a meal of it.

Hopefully, VAR and retrospective bans will make players think twice. Although i don’t think they would have change the refs decision. He was far too keen to give the penalty and the red.

Absolutely correct! And the tv pundits I saw (Gray and Alladyce*) agreed.and they both thought it wasn’t it wasn’t a pen either.

*Am I agreeing with those two??!!!

Selfish decision from the HF. They should still be in that corner making noise. So arrogant to assume that they had more of a right to take the seats of season ticket holders who had been there for years. If people want to get pissy about a quieter atmosphere blame their arrogance, not Parish. He’s right not to turf people out of seats they’d held for years.

Is the right reply. Had I had the same ST seat for two, five, ten, thirty years and I got a letter from CPFC “requesting” I move to another part of the stand/ground......... no HF is great, but as with any player,
no one is bigger than the club!
