The 3 basic qualities they need to answer at least 1 or and hopefully 2 are: Does he score goals? If the answer to a scout is no to all 3 of those then it’s a no. We are saying the same thing, I think. These three criteria fit into "can they do a job for us?".

This post has been merged from a topic called 'Yannick Bolasie' by Midlands Eagle I am indifferent to yala except for the fact I can't see the money being right for palace. I do think he'd set up Benteke more than Wilf does, assuming he can still whip in a powerful cross from deep. if he's our replacement for Wilf (SURELY too late now?)...it's gonna be ugly
If you want to live in a world full of kindness, respect and love, try to show these qualities. |

This post has been merged from a topic called 'Yannick Bolasie' by Midlands Eagle I think if Zaha stays and Bolasie arrives then he will up his game. He will not want to be overshadowed by his mate and I think that will have a positive impact on his game. If we can't get RLC on loan then Yala, to me, seems like a risk worth taking. I'd rather have someone with an affinity for the club than sign some random player at the last minute out of desperation.

That would be 5 signings with a likely total wage of £400k per week, larger than what we’ve let go and wouldn’t that be an even higher wage/revenue and at risk of breaking FFP? Then there’s the other costs associated with the Meyer deal. I know we’ve spent very little on actual transfers (you have to include further costs to Meyer if true), but the wage level and increases just don’t sound right.

I heard RLC is on 60k per week, plus Chelsea will probably want a bigger loan fee than Everton, so given Hodgson has made it clear he wants RLC if available I can only imagine there is still room in the kitty. Personally, I trust Parish & Co to run a tight ship so if they think there is money left then I hope we use it sensibly. As fans we will never truly know what the position is so we might as well just ignore the salaries and talk in speculative terms. Having said all that, I can't see there are many clubs who would pay 100k per week for Bolasie based on his recent form, so surely we might be able to wrangle a good deal if Roy does want him. We'll see. Edited by taylors lovechild (06 Aug 2018 7.35pm)

This post has been merged from a topic called 'Yannick Bolasie' by Midlands Eagle I thought Bolasie was on £100k but I’ve read articles back when he signed for Everton it’s £80-£90k so it could well be £80k. It’s still a lot, especially if he doesn’t produce or play enough at a high level.

I doubt we would pay a figure that could spare Everton's blushes, so a loan at 80-90k per week if it comes without a loan fee seems a reasonable risk if, as I say, we can't get RLC back.

Most Premier clubs that offer hospitality packages, employ ex players to mingle with the guests on matchdays, why do you have a problem with Palace doing the same?

Why would Everton want to loan him out for free to us. He certainly wouldn't be guaranteed a starting place now in Roys set up.
