Quite frankly, if Zaha was to leave in the summer we would probably be viewed as relegation candidates. If he stays then we won't be viewed as such.

Well it's straight from the horses mouth. Going to Citeh, Arsenal etc will mean he won't play every week and Wilf knows it. I think we can push for the Europa league next season under Roy. Just don't rush out and order the new kit with his name on, yet.

I think Wilf will stay for at least another season but he will go eventually & who can blame him. He is still only 25 so he has time on his side but in a few years time he will be ready for a move. He wants to play in the biggest competitions such as the Champs League & win throphies which he will never do with us. He is improving every season playing regularly with us but there will become a time when he will want a step up.I don't think he will go up North again so realitically he will either join a London team or go to Spain to play for Real Madrid or Barca. It will be a very sad day when he does go but we'll get alot of money & we will need to invest it wisely. Edited by Welsh Eagle (13 May 2018 8.45pm)

We’re all wishing our best ever player away and assuming what he wants and that he will want to leave. I personally think that he would be mad to leave Palace and risk eveything. He’s got an unbelievable life as it is and things are looking to get better and better here at Palace. Why risk losing all of that by joining another club where it could all go tits up?

You think we are relegation candidates every season with your constant negative posts we are going down! So if Wilf stays you won't be negative about our chances of staying up next season? I wasn't negative about our chances early on this season even when we went 7 games without a goal or a point. My mindset was there was plenty of time to go to turnaround our fortunes.A fellow supporter I met in a 'Local' said we would be relegated by Christmas and I told him he was talking total and utter drivel ! I was filled with dread with all our horrific injuries, the spate of games against the top teams etc etc, a period when we went 7 games without a win and saw us slip down the table, the players on the bench, the fear of further injuries etc etc.Yes I was deeply concerned about our propects hence my negativity.I went through real angst I can assure you. I never had us as going down before the season started but my view changed later on. Edited by Willo (13 May 2018 9.32pm)

If that’s what you think, then you clearly don’t rate him half as much as some of us do. I genuinely think he’s good enough to be a champions league player. Whether we wanna admit it or not, that’s where the best players play. Had it not been for awful development he’d of been playing it a long time ago regularly. His natural ability has always been sensational. I don’t think he’s going, which I’m delighted about. I think he wants one more season to try and take his game one step further. Certainly risky when some of the most attacking & free flowing clubs in the country are supposedly desperate to sign him and a lot can happen in a year, but you won’t hear me complaining about it. I just personally find it quite ironic that some Palace fans claim to worship him down to the ground but simultaneously doubt he has what it takes to play for a top club. If it’s simply a case of desperately wanting him to stay then I think we’re all in the same boat, but that’s all it is, none of this looking out for his best interests BS. Remember quite a few doubting him in his first few seasons back at Palace and even saying Bolasie was a better player, so this unconditional love from all quarters has only come through him proving just how good he is & the notion that he can only achieve something in a team that so far has done nothing but survive in the Premier League because elsewhere he won’t be loved is quite frankly an insult to Wilf, in my opinion. I don’t want him to go. I’d love him to retire here but ultimately, whatever happens, it’s upto him. And I don’t think anyone should begrudge any choice he makes this summer or summers in the future.
