Yes, but what's the point in deluding yourself that The Conservative Party is not right-wing? Blair was not Left-wing enough for my liking and took the reins way too close to the centre and ended up chummying up to some horrible right-wing nasties but Labour itself was still of the left in essence even if watery and diluted. How can you say 'yes, but'? The modern day Tory party is neo liberal.......most of its MPs were for remain for god's sake.....right wing my arse. Like I said, it's mainly for protecting its voting base.....the elderly and those who own homes. May has certainly p1ssed off plenty on the right in her idealism to be a 'caring party' and adopt 'social justice' that's for sure.

The majority of Tory MPs aren't that right wing....apart from the EU...they just look out for property owners and the city and that's about it. So their policy is geared towards private ownership and financial ecconomic profit which is pretty much the definition of right wing politics.

Well, economic profit is required by all of them.....so I don't know if that is purely a right wing idea....the left embraced neo liberalism a long time ago. It's about levels. As for private ownership........sure...like I said, it's just not amongst the parts I'm that interested in. Edited by Stirlingsays (07 Jan 2018 9.52pm)

Those that notice see that I'm a mixture of right and left....a 'red tory' so to speak.

It would be nice if you came back at some point but it's your decision of course.
