What disappoints is the dismantling of The team in the search for a win. No Luca no Patrick V A constantly changing the team. It really does not look like a plan and then bringing on a youngster in a high pressure situation. Does this make any sense and inspire confidence.

Your agenda is about damaging the club with your constant anti De Boer rhetoric. Start supporting the manager!

Luca is my favourite player ,but the last home game he and PVA were both poor, and on current form they needed a break.

Difficult to see what he would bring to the team today as a largely right footed player on the left who spends most of the time passing sideways or backwards. That said de Boer isn't to blame for the terrible error he made. Puncheon's well and truly gone as a player and his selection over Milivojevic a real head scratcher. Huge improvement overall but the anxiety and frustration towards the end today comes from confidence having been diminished over the previous games.

With Loftus Cheek and Zaha back soon and Cabaye already back I cannot see how FdB can justify Puncheon's continued presence. Particularly when you can juggle around with positions and put Luka back where he belongs - just in front of a back four.

I think however that we should acknowledge we were without our two strongest attacking players bar the striker in RLC and Zaha and also Sakho with whom we have so much hope. I've been from strongly anti-De Boer to 'I told you so, get him out" to now perhaps let's see still very early. He seems to be showing some pain and hopefully this will drive it. I feel like it is just a case of playing our strongest players in the right formation ATM although we played a very reserved and not too quality team in Burnley today. If this does not happen there is only so long he can go without goals /points and making mistakes but I will be somewhat disheartened if he is sacked before Southampton.
Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!! |

The question about Luca and Patrick V A is are they being played in the right position have they got confidence in the tactics. You are taking out two players who can score. The obvious question is why are they poor after being significant last season and not playing them puts additional pressure on others to score.

None of us know what goes on behind the scenes. For all we know they may be the only players that are not pulling in the same direction. If so of course they have to be left out.

Especially as we looked better with the 4-3-3 today, imagine had we started the season with 4-3-3 and played our best players available and played at least the best formation to accommodate them.
