All the good saves would have been made after giving them the lead, you do understand that. Been a member since 5th august. You know it all. I have critised WH in the past but he had a good game today. So why your negativity

I like them all but I agree, these are the players that we need to replace now. I wouldn't sell because they do add to the squad but we need better starters to replace them. I was hoping that we could get at least a goal as I was watching the match but not many chances. However, We looked ok, a huge improvement on last week. When systems fail with whatever player it is because of the whole set up, eg other players not making themselves availiable to help said player or being forced out of position through others being out of place so we mustn't forget that Liverpool caused us to make these mistakes, we did defend today quite well as a team and against some really good players.

I only read the reports of last week's game but watched today's via a stream. My comparisons are therefore between the way we played under SA and now, under FdB. I thought we were really poor today and looked as though we expected to lose. For me what shone out has nothing to do with the "system" but that the players have lost belief and confidence. Missed passes abounded and we gave the ball away frequently. No-one seemed to have any idea what to do to mount any kind of telling attack. Nothing came in from the wings. If that was better than last week then last week must have been terrible. For me that stank of a very long battle season again but this time without the heart for a battle. Could you please do the same against Pardew, would be interesting to see what you think.

Hennessey made some very good saves today and came and claimed a few crosses and through balls. Made an error with the cross when he misjudged it but he more than made up for it by keeping us in the game with some very good saves. I thought we played well today and the performance was a massive improvement on last week. Well done FDB for tweaking the system. The commentator mentioned that one wing back was going forward the other dropped to make a back 4 which seemed to make our defence far more secure. We still need players but KaiKai looked good when he came on.

Ok today but nothing better. Really worrying was not targeting Liverpool weakness. Everyone knows they struggle from crosses and during the 90 minutes we put 1 cross in to the box!!!! Basic areas like this need sorting or we'll be in a whole world of trouble

1-0 at Anfield no shame there, saw enough to suggest a win is not far away. Not easy changing our style , swansea up next. Looking forward to it.

Well I watched the game live from here in the USA Florida and Palace just sat back and allowed Liverpool ball. RLC looked good and created our only chance for Benteke which he put over other than that Liverpool were in total control and deserved there win. We are in for big fight for survival this season with the players and the system we are playing. We are just not playing to Benteke's strengths and he is so isolated. Last 5 we put Dann upfront why have we not bought another striker so that we have another option as opposed to a defender. I am sorry but the it is there for all to see its going to be a tough season. I can see what FDB is trying to do but the board have got to back him 2 loan signings and 1 £8m signing is not enough. Also I thought we were trying to play a high possession & pressing based game, well there was no sign of that with just 28% possession and allowing Liverpool so much space and time. Next 3 games against Swansea, Burnley & Southampton are big otherwise 3 losses and a big gap could open up after just 5 games. Will be interesting to see if the board back FDB.
