Just think how good Luka could be if he is played in his actual position.

True, he looks like a real find.

He sure does. Just goes to show that they're out there. Just need a good scouting network to snare them.

Not sure I can fully understand what the plan is for Benteke now..I must admit, I did not really welcome him with open arms, but, towards the end of last season, he really started to win me over with his skillful play, which is very crafty, and sly.. but brilliant to watch and admire.

Now, and today was a good example, I only heard his name twice, and didn't really see him in the game at all.. one of the commentators mentioned that now with Frank's new plan, it is not really going to suit Benteke's play.. and I can see that once again we may screw up a player just as he is getting into his grove.

I am not Frank, but why tamper with something that is good, and risk losing him ?

These rumors going around, always have a grain of truth in them.. and C. Benteke himself might get a little fed up of once again having to upset his playing style and routine..
Now, I would hate to loose him..I hope I am wrong, only time will tell..but I cant help feeling nervous on what we are trying to do

As a small add on note to this...

I was so-so happy to see Jules out playing, and making some good saves, showing that the ole dog has plenty of pep, and life in that body of his..Full marks Jules.. You will always be my man of the match..

It's a foolish team indeed that doesn't make best use of a 15 goal a season striker in the PL. We didn't find one for three seasons and we won't find another, unless SP is prepared to write a massive cheque, so we need to keep this one. One of the presenters yesterday made the point that FdB is one of the most respected managers never to have had any first hand experience of the PL and that you could watch as many videos as you liked, but there was no substitute for the real thing. I hope Frank realises how difficult goals are to come by in this league.

Watching the change from the first game it looked like FdB has got them understanding his defensive strategy & against West Brom it was more about transition from defence to attack, especially in the first half.

The Ajax model is about doing everything as a unit. He knows there are goals in the team so needs to concentrate on the other end of the pitch & getting forward - not just hitting on the break but in a controlled way that doesn't leave you open yourselves.

His four titles at Ajax seemed to have been based on the best defensive record each season so we could be looking at what we had at the back end of last season with a bit more football being played. Should improve our home form which would be more than welcome.

Will this be five? It's gonna be five! It IS five!

With apologies for coming into this late but curious to know why Palace finished third in Asia Trophy standings when we don't seem to have played Leicester?

In the same way that a team can come third in the World Cup without having played one of the finalists.

It was played as cup competition with the two losing semi finalists playing off for 3rd/4th place.

If he can fix this we will have a far better defensive set up. Last season, in addition to our pathetic attempts to defend set pieces, we were constantly caught on the break, having committed too many too the attack.
