No, only you said that in the highlighted bit. I said I preferred Bond to be White because I'm White. The highlighted bit is me paraphrasing you, asking for clarity. You've now given me such and I think your preference is sad, out-dated and racist.

Maybe a hard-working black actor deserves the role, but you'd never allow him to achieve that because he's black. Just a thought. Yes, both Egypt movies were s***. Hence the fallacy that white actors will necessarily draw in punters.

Saying 'he's white in the books' or 'he's always been white so why change it' is markedly different from saying, 'I'm white so I want him to be white'. Your argument is closer to saying "i'm not as comfortable with you being on my screen because you're not white.. sorry mate human nature". I don't have a problem with it, you believe what you believe, but it shouldn't be taboo either to highlight a racial disconnect. Like I said it's not something others have said. If I'd said "i want shaft to be black because I am" that would've received some very direct replies and head scratching I'm sure.

Bond is meant to be white from the books....that's obvious but it's not exactly the most important thing and it's just a fictional character. If they brought in a black actor to play Bond I'd be ok with it just as long as it was in keeping with the character of Bond. If it's the best actor about...then blah blah and all that. Jamie's 'trans Bond could be good' stuff just proves that he's taking recreationals into work with him. Bond is meant to be white and male in his late thirties, early forties.....But hey...we are living in an age where a Time Lord is now a Time Lady.....all so that beta males can get excited and think they are doing something. Not to sure how a 'lord' is meant to be female but feck it.....authenticity is for those interested in details not agendas. Edited by Stirlingsays (18 Jul 2017 6.18pm) I think our own Eddie Izzard could be up for a number of interesting and high profile roles in the near future. Palace to the core, he's be good at anything he did. EDDIE4BOND.

Old Eddie has played a lot of interesting and different roles already. I'm thinking that he might be up for solving our striker crisis......What's Eddie transfer price as a trans?

So far on these boards I've notice you use the word 'misogyny' in describing me....it's plainly ridiculous...My mother, god bless her, is probably worth ten of you. Then here you use the term, 'white privilege'. So you are announcing your politics clear as day. You are a full on American style 'progressive'. If I were to play your game I could accuse you of 'misandry'...in your case that certain hate of anything masculine that certain 'beta males' are so steeped into. Well, in my opinion, there is a place for your personality type in society, just as there is a place for all non violent views. However, if you want to play the game of name calling recognise that at a certain stage some people are going to get tired of it and then name calling is all you are going to get.

Hence the fallacy that white actors will necessarily draw in punters. You clearly have a problem with the English language. I never said such a thing. I said I'd prefer Bond to be White. I don't care if you like that or not. What I prefer personally has no bearing on what the producers of Bond choose to do but the preference of the wider target audience as a whole will do. The so called prejudice against Black actors you imply doesn't seem to have been a problem for Denzel Washington, Will Smith, Morgan Freeman, James Earl Jones, Danny Glover, Samuel Jackson, Idris Elba, Jennifer Hudson, Eddie Murphy, Forrest Whitaker,Paul Winfield, Laurence Fishburn, Don Cheadle, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Jamie Foxx, Ving Rhames....... I could go on... and on. And The fact that two bad films featuring White people failed does not mean that casting White people was the cause or that casting Middle Eastern actors would have made them do any better. As I said from the beginning, I'm happy to watch Bond movies whoever is at the helm without having a panic attack over our hues matching on a colour chart. I doubt there will be a black Bond for a many years anyway so we'll both be able to enjoy the franchise. We can see the next one together, but I'm going to have to insist that you black up first, because 'I want you to be black because I'm black' :-D.

Dude this a fictional spy we are talking about not a Black supremacist takeover. Why are you so bothered about what I think and why are you so bothered about the colour of Bond? You seem to be very uncomfortable with the idea that I like a White Bond because I'm white. Who has the problem here?

If a black person asks for black role models do you ask them about it? I doubt it because them being a minority seems to give hem having a 'preference' a pass. You know what I'm fine with that. You might prefer long legged black girls or white girls to short legged ones....Or blue eyed Scandinavian girls to short squat Italian types. Having a preference isn't being racist. Being racist is being racist. Believing that the stereotype of a Scandinavian bird can be more attractive than an Italian one doesn't mean that I think any difference as to their worth as actual human beings. I don't believe the short Italian bird is a worst human being just because of her genetics...It's purely a physical thing....Hey I'd probably still fcuk her anyway. If you prefer your Bond to be white or your Shaft to be black it doesn't really matter. All that matters is how you treat people in real life. Fairness is what matters.....not thought policing. No, it is you creating a strawman argument by purposefully misrepresenting what I said. Anyone you thinks that having a preference for Bond to be White is 'racist' is a fruit loop. I'm sure some Black people want Bond to be White.
