Thought this was about the horrific attacks at London Bridge. RIp to those murdered and my sympathies for all those effected.
Those that want to turn this into yet another political thread need to show some respect and carry on your debates on the other threads. Makes me ashamed to read some of your posts you are as blinkered by politics as some Muslims are by ISIS.

Who is responsible for the reduction in police numbers?

What's police numbers got to do with it....8 f***ing minutes from start to shooting the c***s dead...pretty darn amazing if you ask me.

And let the Chinese or the Russians supply them instead?

Still campaigning using the deaths of innocent people.

You are shameful.

How people react to this IS a political issue. It's about how successive governments have failed to protect their citizens allowing attacks like this to happen and how we continue to harbour this cancer in our midst. How many more dead must we bury, how many more candlelit vigils and virtue-signalling hashtags must we have before positive action is taken?

Grief is all well and good but are people not allowed to be angry and frustrated with the political establishment for doing nothing to stop it?

Wife beating may be socially acceptable in Sheffield, but it is a different matter in Cheltenham

Think how much lower it would be if we'd had some of Diane Abbott's £30/yr police ready to respond.

No. Not on this thread, apparently. This thread should be reserved for "paying respect" via the medium of wailing and kumbaya.

Because Corbyn has a long record of being mates with terrorists.

The awful events of last night and the past few months are a stark warning that football needs to create permanent structures to minimize the terror threat.

We need armed police at games; terrorists must have no way to force their way inside stadia; anywhere where walking on the road is unavoidable needs to be blocked to cars.

None of these things would prevent an incident, but they could all save scores of lives.

Basic, practical things can be done to minimize impact. We can't stop them but we can reduce how many they kill and maim.

I think the indiscriminate nature of this attack should be highlighted.
There was no intent to target white people,'Christians',Jews, the police or any group in particular. This was an attack on anyone who was in the way. The victims include Muslims and young girls.

Many different communities all have a common enemy.
