If there enough well paying jobs to support paying for those houses I would agree with you....I can't remember a time when that existed. So until that time I agree with the concept of state supported housing.

Government is meant to represent everyone. The more talented and/or able should be helped but not if it is at the expense of the less talented and/or able.

Well....if the alternative is that we have tons of people living on the streets or putting up shanty homes.

As I suggested, if rents were cheaper and mortgages more flexible, perhaps any need for council housing would be greatly reduced.

Are you calling him a liar? What possible reason would he have for making this up?

Far left activists complain, the media get involved for a story and a well respected scientist gets the sack.

Top Gear is now sh-t because essentially lefty producers can't take a punch without crying to their lawyers about it.

Oh and lefty social engineering infects the whole of teaching....despite that being unprofessional....especially in the humanities.

Political Correctness was imported from the US in the early 70's. In my 'umble, those that have propagated it the most, whilst pretending to abhor it, are those that stood/stand to profit from it the most. I am looking at you 'sue for everything' lawyers 'they have hurt your feelings' (the law when it is an ass is complicit) and the media who just love to 'keep 'em angry' and 'keep 'em scared'. It sells.

Most left-leaning, left of centre folk that I know are entirely rational, open-minded, speak as you find people who don't jump down the throat of others who have opinions but will instead engage in conversation and debate.

The image portrayed is far removed from what my own experiences have shown me.

Don't get me wrong, I have met some right sanctimonious 'intellectually superior' cvnts in real life who like to think of themselves as the above but they are so not. Not fit to wipe Wedgie Benns shoes were he alive. I don't even regard them as socially conscious or even into what I would call traditional leftism. Unfortunately, they have tarnished the decent left in the eyes of people such as yourself.

But, without the left and Victorian social consciousness (what would be regarded as leftism today - the well-being of children, old people, education and health and housing, etc) - Britain would be a much more backward society if we are talking about the last 100-150 years.

So what you are suggesting is that life will be better under Labour.

Did you ever know a time when your life was demonstrably better because of any political party?

It sounds more like a request for religious reasons rather than overtly political. Jewish or Muslim kids at the school per chance?

Don't agree with it but blaming it on the left seems a bit knee-jerk and disingenuous until we have all the facts.

Just don't vote. Then at least your conscience is clear.

The most important reason for not voting Labour is on the left - don't let Socialists ruin your life.

The rest is rot, written by bellends to ease their privileged guilt.

Oh blimey.

Push that head just a little bit deeper into the sand Kermy - you might just hit the water level.

For the original poster.

Yeah and voting Labour is really going to result in the wealthy finally being sorted out.

Give me strength.
