..yep, very sadly he gets too involved and upsets the flow, you can understand it because quite obviously he is a brilliant player but this league takes no notice of someone who used to be able to nip around thinking before most, we do occasionally see it but I feel we see too much frustration from him due to the fact he can't, he should only play when we are not desperately needing to dig and hold on, having him before at Newcastle when he was a bit younger is doing neither any favours.

I think the record of us winning with him on the pitch at 90 minutes is 1/2 wins.Anyhow i'm old school keep the same 11.

It's not the best football to watch but shows it's effective and works with the players we have this is the main problem with AP he was forcing players to do something they are not good at but you put them back to this old system and it worked.

Now he needs to build on it and try find balance.

If big sam had come in this is what you would of gotten how we was today.

I dislike how smug AP is again it's only one result

Smug? I haven't heard the whole interview but he sounded relieved to me.

I am astonished how fans can't even celebrate a win because it doesn't fit their own agenda

the dignified don't even enter in the game

Give it a rest with this cup final rubbish we lost the final so it doesn't mean a great deal just another loss to add to the list.

This season not been great don't you mean this whole year and what a joke trying to use the 5th top scorers in the league you are forgetting how many we have conceded

..but, when you kill a manager it is usually because everywhere on the pitch is completely tits up, can you please explain why you want to kill a manager who is having problems from silly and stupid individual player mistakes?

..they cannot lose face by changing their opinions, once they've put pen to paper they have to die with it.

We were lucky with the 2 goals and if Southampton scored 1st I think that would've been us done again.

But Pardew did use that cushion well in the2nd half but now t so at the end of the 1st half. They were allowed to be all over us.

Instead of going for goals non stop we played in phases and that's how to win points. We need more though next week.

..in all honesty they very hardly got through our defence all game and our third came through good open pressured play so we could have quite easily have won this by one goal ..anyway, because of 1980/81 any result against them has to be the best ever in my book, absolutely hate this club to death.

..didn't you know they blame Pardew for making clatterburg pull back play and allowing moan.u the advantage of defending in numbers and also for helping him make up his mind on that penalty, it was clearly Pardews fault we lost that final against the richest club in the whole wide world...with the loudest and bestest fans of all time, surely you must have known this.

Brilliant result.
Hope this is a start of a couple of good results and a big match away next week, which I believe we approach in a more confident state.
Well done Pardew.

Just back from the match (thanks Southern trains). Thought I's have a look on here to celebrate our win. Can't believe that some will be unhappy with a 3-0 win.

I don't care how lucky we were, a win is a win.

It's 106 miles to Chicago, we got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark... and we're wearing sunglasses.

I have not been someone who is baying for Pardew's head, but it seems pretty obvious that we have been lacking leadership on the pitch. Whose fault is that? I suggest Pardew is responsible for not recognising or sourcing a leader on the pitch. Scott Dann's game has suffered after taking on the captaincy and we have sorely missed Mile Jedinak's leadership, if not his technical ability.
For the moment, let's breathe a sigh of relief and look forwards rather than backwards. After all, we could be Wet Sham fans
