Popovic would be a wild gamble. Zero premiership experience. Won't happen.

Next manager should have ZERO link to palace whatsoever. It's infuriating how often we've gone down that route, only to be lumbered. Recruit on merit of the candidate, not sentimentalism...

I'm not in the Pardew out camp, but if the performance isn't there at the weekend I think he might have to go. Reason I say that is becuase if we can't bring out A game against Swansea then he's not got the team playing for him.

I think we have to win or be very very good and very very very unlucky not to win for him to keep his job.

Again I'm not Anti Pardew, but i just can't see away forward if we can't take three points from Swansea when there in the position their in:

Who to replace him ? f*** knows, none of the candidates sound great...

Good points. Although the results have been disappointing I think the players are still playing for him so he has a chance, although as you say only a very, very unlucky defeat will probably save him tomorrow should we lose.

AP is not going no matter the result at the weekend which I think we will get points from the up coming game away.

AP is deep in with the owners and as I have said before he will walk not be sacked but this would be if we end up in a position looking like we will be going down which is still far away.

He must be doing stuff behind the scenes that the owners are impressed with and they look at it as 'things will eventually click'.

This kind of reminds me about the whole Fat Sam and West Ham situation, they were in a slump and the owners came out with 'if we were looking to change managers and get a new face in, in this exact same situation, fat sam would be it' and they gave him the thumbs up! Ultimately he wasn't attractive enough and they parted ways.
I have no doubt they keep AP as long as he looks set to reach 40 points in good stead.

So effectively you are saying that the board have gone from their stated intention two years ago of pushing onwards and upwards from the finishing spot of 10th to satisfaction with being perpetual strugglers.

Based on current form, this season, he's all set to get 34/35.

I'd rather have foul language than cuddling up to Clattenburg just befre the cup final any day of the week.

probably irrelevant now. but i think we missed a trick by not sacking mildew end of last season. then we should have gone for jorge sampaoli, who was out of work after leving the chile national team. i think itd have been a brilliant fit. gets his teams working hard, and playing decent football.
currently doing well at sevilla. doubt theyd let him go or if he'd come. but hey if we're stupid enough to throw away 4 mill as compensation for getting mildew...

I think you Palace fans are being very harsh on Alan Pardew. He has kept you lot up for the last couple of seasons and got you to the FA cup final last season.

He's a cracking manager and you lot need to stop thinking you are better than you are.

Look what he did at Newcastle, he got them to 5th place before the deluded geordies hounded him out.

Give Pardew time and he'll sort it out.
