Well said Meadway, just came back from Golf and must say but for the if's and but's would have gone round under par (not Pardew that is!)

Willo I really don't think we can attract a top manager, But think maybe we would attract and up and coming Championship Manager or someone from abroad, I don't have the answer to that question, But have faith in the board and SP to act soon, I am not a AP hater just passionate about my team and all the hard work put in by Parish and the board. I think Big Sam would be a step backward. If i thought we would survive under AP i would not of started this thread, My thread is about Palace survival not AP, It took a long time to get here and i want us to stay here ..yes of course we are doomed, we are sixteen points cut adrift! someone save us quick!!!!

OK, let's try some less than randomly selected dates shall we? Season 14/15 31pts/18 games = 1.72 aver On what basis is Pardew's performance improving? Fair play, that is an excellent way to asses performance. Hard to really argue that he should stay when faced with that. I'd still give him 5 more games though.

I've given this some thought. This is really f***ing boring now. Round and round in circles. SP and co will act when they see fit so how about EVERYBODY get behind AP and ALL the players against citeh and try and keep positive.

It's been a lively debate by "Both sides of the house" and forums would be exceedingly tedious if they were a big "Love-in" with everyone agreeing with one another. Sometimes the real cut and thrust of debate, carried out in a mature fashion devoid of any excessive vitriol and personal slurs can be rather enlightening. I have found reading both sides of the argument very interesting. Edited by Willo (12 Nov 2016 7.44pm)

The simply answer is unless we improve we are going down, giving AP extra time is kind but that is not going to change the results as he is not concerned about shipping goals which make the task of winning more difficult as we have forwards who struggle to score. Clearly it would not be wise to force the transfer window on any new arrival without time to research what we need and clearly we are very light in defence and creative midfield!

Most of those have already been well documented and discussed on this board. He is a cock, so what? He has admitted that he has made mistakes, he started to see a sports psychologist a few years ago to try and change and he largely has. For every quote against Pardew by a player there'll be another saying how great he is. That goes with the job. Cabaye, Tomkins and Benteke all said they signed because of him. Tomkins referencing how well Pardew treated him at West Ham. No issues with a cock being in charge. Just my personal belief it probably is moving our performances in the wrong direction. He paid all the players you mentioned many thousands of pounds per week. A few kind words cost them nothing. Actually not so sure that many other managers get that scale personal attacks. I can't think of one.
If you want to live in a world full of kindness, respect and love, try to show these qualities. |
