Other than being occasionally susceptible in defence, Liverpool FC has outplayed us in all departments. Time to properly scrutinise comparison performances in all departments from peak level contrast, and learn from henceforward. REAL scrutiny needed. Start with MOTD 'more than likely opening game' analysis tonight and work from there....

WTF you on about.

Macca at number 10 with Cabaye behind. I might get slated for saying this but I think we miss Jedi don't think Ledley is good enough at breaking the play up.

Still haven't played with our best 11 yet, Punch to start next week. Maybe it's hopeful but if the defence do a job next week we could turn Burnley over.

s*** defensive display and s*** officiating.

We need to get something at Burnley before the international break.

If we do not beat Burnley AP has to go

To be honest, that surprises me. Defensive organisation starts with the goalkeeper.... just saying.

In the old days it was but not modern day the captain of the backline deals with that.

The only take away from this is that we need to work on everything, and to upgrade the defense in the transfer window. IMHO Kelly was our best defender today and that's hard to type.

Really? I thought Ward did a much better job. Could just be me though

Pards would agree with you and you can bet he is frustrated as us but he and the squad are givening their all.

The frustrating thing I find from this recent losing run is that we are playing well for 45 of the 90 minutes.

Far too often this season we are having to come from a goal back.

Just walked out the ground.
Was that a penalty just before their 4th ??

No, another dive.

Yes. Absolutely cast iron penalty that we'd probably have missed anyway - but still, they wouldn't have scored their fourth.

I think L'pool were fortunate, even if overall better than us.

Granted it was close, he was #2 for me. It was a low bar though today.

Wilf should have kept going rather than dived.

Scoreline flatters us.

..Puncheon should have started, so too should have Townsend, Lee was brilliant and getting better until he was removed, team selection today was out of this world, Zaha is going backwards and does not defend properly, he needs to sort himself out and stop falling over because every single ref knows he is diving even when he's not.

Great move at the death though, shame Zaha ferked it up, Campbell would have definitely not scored that.

No because the foul was on Zaha. Fouls against him don't count.
