However, last word, (before everyone starts laying into Lily again)reuniting families torn apart by war isn't really that bad a thing. There's much worse going on in the country to be worried about... I agree nick reuniting families is a very good thing, but I would feel better if 1,the "children" were that children.

I cant imagine to many people on here in a similar situation saying "I tell you what dear you and the kids hunker down here for a while, while I travel 2500 miles across half a dozen countries to safety and when I reach my destination I'll come & get you"

What are the reasons given? How anyone can sit and pontificate from their comfy homes whilst idly dismissing what many of these people have seen and been through. Repeat folk tales that have become part of the national lexicon, but are actually as reliable as the bloke down the pub. Just to give a reason to stop these war refugees a place to be safe and welcomed. Someone said on question time tonight that if we welcome those refugees it would pay back dividends because they will feel integrated in a place that was welcoming and gave them refuge from the horrors of war.

Mmmmm....So if we aren't welcoming they what? Is that some kind of threat? You are aware of course that rape and assault figures in Germany and Nordic countries have upped considerably since their middle eastern immigration influx. Bringing in people from cultures that are considerably different to western sensibilities causes cohesion and infrastructure problems. These only affect the poor and working classes though....So Labour and its supporters ultimately don't give a damn about that. The left have screwed the British working classes over immigration for some time now. Increasing their competition for houses and jobs, lowering their wages. Telling them that they need 'education' to like it. Not in my name, makes me sick. Edited by Stirlingsays (21 Oct 2016 6.14am)

Tell me, what are we doing for those who haven't run away from their country and are fighting for their country against Assad or IS? What do we do for the brave doing our dirty work? It's true that different situations mean that they aren't all cowards but generally on this issue the left are all for cowards and nothing for those who stand and fight. The lefties don't want to discuss how they have betrayed the working class. They are more interested in telling hem how to live. And do we want more of this imported to our country:

I thought we were bringing in children and by children I don't mean the legal definition of the word but the actual definition that most people think of when they hear the word child. The public seemingly have the right to feel lied to. They seem to actually be bringing a fair number of young men.

The public are being lied to by people with political agendas. The kindest thing we could as a country would be to launch a ground offensive against ISIS in Syria. We didn't create the problem there but we should sort it out, for the good of the people and our own security. No one wants war but there appear to be few other choices as ISIS, despite Jezza's suggestion, don't want to talk.
