Hes a very good player. If palace end up with him as our no 9 then we are in a very good place indeed. Question marks over his attitude etc but English footballers are generally not very bright and so prone to being easily led by advisors with their own agendas. Give him a break and celebrate this if it comes off.

Shows how much our own expectations have changed

He's good but he's not a number 9. We need him and another target man to challenge Wickham. Dream scenario would be Benteke although I can't see us spending big amounts on two strikers.

Although Im not sure how likely it is that we would spend £52m and buy both, I think buying both is the only thing that makes sense. We would need Benteke for our current style of play and maybe Berahino for a new 4-4-2 system to break down teams who sit back and defend
