Ploughing through Simon Kernick's thrillers at the moment. Currently reading "Target" which, like all his books I've read so far, is well written, fast moving and London based.

I Am the Secret Footballer Quite an entertaining read - seems he may be Dave Kitson, but an easy read and an interesting insight from inside the game

Grapes of Wrath takes a while to get going but once it does it's absolute quality. Trying to read up on economics so have started flicking through the Wealth of Nations by Adam Smith. Have recently read some great books though, Town like Alice by Nevil Shute, Keef Richards' autobiography, complete epic history of Greece and Rome, Chavs by Owen Jones; all worth reading but for varying reasons.
If punk ever happened I'd be preaching the law, instead of listenin to Lydon lecture BBC4 |

I've started the Morrissey book. Afraid to say that for such a brilliant lyricist, his prose is facking awful. It might end up in the charity shop...

Her Privates We / Frederic Manning Finding it a bit hard going. I like the lingo but I prefer war books to be about the action rather than the uneventful, mundane day-to-day life
