He was worth his transfer fee tonight sending the scousers home in tears. With the right strike partner and system next season he will hit double figures easily. The boys a natural finisher.
"They got his own song 'He's just too good for you', it's quite unbelievable but when you see it and he's facing up someone - I actually feel sorry for them, 'Cos he actually is" - Ian Holloway |

Have to say thought he was a waste of money but something was seen in it and the fact that TP kept him in the 25 proves he saw it to natural finisher and gets in the right place twice.
I first went to palace when I was 4 a wooden box to sit/stand on and monkey nuts at half time, now 46 years later come on you Eeeeeagles,I |

I had my doubts about him, I won't lie! There have been flashes of inspiration such as against Villa but he needs nurturing and needs to play in a 4-4-2 which doesn't suit a start against Liverpool when we correctly started with a lone striker up top. Having said that, with a decent strike partner to lay off to him (not sure it is going to be Glen in the long run, although he was much improved too), Gayle, with a bit of confidence, showed he can be a premier league player. Maybe another year on the fringes then a breakthrough... Ince however... he can go home...!
