He was worth his transfer fee tonight sending the scousers home in tears. With the right strike partner and system next season he will hit double figures easily. The boys a natural finisher.

Have to say thought he was a waste of money but something was seen in it and the fact that TP kept him in the 25 proves he saw it to natural finisher and gets in the right place twice.

Looks like we've found our goal scorer for next season. Will surely start against Fulham on the weekend?

I had my doubts about him, I won't lie!

There have been flashes of inspiration such as against Villa but he needs nurturing and needs to play in a 4-4-2 which doesn't suit a start against Liverpool when we correctly started with a lone striker up top.

Having said that, with a decent strike partner to lay off to him (not sure it is going to be Glen in the long run, although he was much improved too), Gayle, with a bit of confidence, showed he can be a premier league player.

Maybe another year on the fringes then a breakthrough...

Ince however... he can go home...!

Here we go again. No, Ince can't go home. He is going to be class. Will people please stop doing down our potential. I suppose you say the same about our under 13s, that they aren't good enough for the prem. Ince is work in progress, watch and learn.

Agreed Mapletree, seems that some people always need a scapegoat.
