Hull play their 2nd team and win 2-0, with all main players rested and no injuries. Excellent

They played Southend not Wigan!

Granted but we played a few first teamers and they played a second string side

Not up for it just thought we could turn up and win. At least Tony should know who the fringe player's are that are not good enough. Big hole in the middle of the park and little created.
Shame for those that made the journey today.
The team that took it seriously deserved the win!

At 1-1 everyone's fine, then we lose and McCarthy's s***, Wilbraham needs shooting and Palace are crap.

Quite sickening reading this s*** on a match day. Hopefully any match I can't get to will have a live thread for the rest of the season so that I won't have to endure this again.

It happens every game every match day. I sometimes wonder if these trolls have been anywhere near selhurst park.

Hull have a better squad. The Palace squad is full of championship players and it's no surprise that we struggle to beat championship sides away from home. That's why it's even more important we stay up this season because otherwise we won't be back in the PL for a while.

Very true.
Stay up and our wage budget grows and we can attract better players.

I'm struggling to see how it was hulls 2nd team,

Sagbo, graham, Meyer, rosenior, Boyd, fryatt all started and they are all in their match day squad week in week out

Jelavic and Long are our main strikers now so Sagbo and Graham are only squad players now.
Meyler has been playing regularly.
Rosenior has displaced Figueroa.
Boyd has started but more usually has been on the bench.
Fryatt has been playing fort Sheffield Wednesday and since his recall has been on the bench.
I would think only Meyler and Rosenior of those you mentioned will start on Tuesday and started today. Livermore came on for last 8 minutes and will start on Tuesday.

You can hardly say long and jelavic are your main strikers now after playing 1 game for the club. I didn't say their were in starting 11 week in week out I said in the squad, it would be your second team if you had played players who weren't in your 25 or have not played the majority of games whether from the bench or starters. No club plays with the same 11 every week anymore so bench players/squad players should be good enough to play in first team.

Going to Wigan the holders of the cup was never going to be an easy game for any club whether that's palace or arsenal. They are the holders and want to keep it so are going to be well up to beat any team that goes to the DW

I think I can given the money we have spent on them and the fact that Sagbo and Graham have scored 3 goals between them this season.

Twice McCarthy has missed headers he should have scored. There's no way he can be allowed to make the 25-man squad.

You're so forgiving, hope you're not anyones boss! McCarthy starts his first game in, what 18months, and appears to have done OK defensively, on the basis of missing a couple of chances, you want him nowhere near the 25....that judgement would bar half our squad!

McCarthy a liability in the Championship & you want him in the 25 man squad, for the Premiership?
Each to their own opinion...............

to be fair...in my eyes everything wasnt fine at 1-1.

we certainly didnt deserve that goal...and the whole team looked uninterested.

jerome & chamakh were an absolute shambles, and the rest of the team wernt much better.

if we had got a draw out of that game wigan wouldav quite rightly felt robbed.
