Just read he's quoted as saying Man U tried to break him, doubt he'd be heading back there then if all this is true. Reckon it's no more than an eager journo' getting a few minutes chat & embellishing it with glitter to blow it all up.

Best player I’ve seen at palace in any shirt. The timing and the manner I don’t like so much since we’re not safe. This is a double page spread with a clear agenda, probably engineered by him and agent and interested club(s) to basically get the price down and get a deal. It has Levy’s fingerprints all over it.

agreed...i would almost go to gareth bale type fee. is 26 y/o, doesnt need time to settle into the PL...it somewhat confuses me that the higher fees mooted always seem to be for players brought from abroad into the league...he is proven and ready to go. dont forget we give (i think) 25% of any profit to man utd so that has to be taken into consideration. on another note i see foreign ‘wonderkids’ defenders being touted at almost £100m...i put AWB in that bracket if anybody is serious about signing him.

No it ain't. You honestly believe this is a "come and get me" plea? Is it bollox. Top players get tapped up behind closed doors like Cashley Hole. The Peter Odenwinge approach didn't even work for him, let alone Zaha. He gets a pay rise every summer under the threat of moving. None of the top six are in for him: 1) City- ample cover, can buy anyone if they want to strengthen. So you think he’s come out with all this because he wants another pay rise? I mean I suppose he could of..If so he’s gone in pretty hard this time for a pay rise. Spurs and arsenal most likely PL wise. He’s said champions league so not limited to the premier league in any case. He’s never come out saying he wants to fulfil these ambitions in this way before. And if that is the case the question needs to be asked should we be held to ransom every transfer window anyway. Having said that maybe it’s tactical from palaces view, put him on wages that’s anyone else is likely to match or better. Like I have already said his comments are pretty clear to see. He wants out. If anyone is prepared to pay what we will want for him is a different matter entirely.

Exactly, if AWB had gone through any of the top 6's academy's he'd not be for sale & were it pushed for the figures would be far in excess of what others think we're mad for expecting

He's our greatest ever player and I love the bloke, but he's bang out of order. He's paid a shed load of cash and is under contract to us. Go if you want to go, we don't need to hear you touting your wears whatever the reason. Disrespectful as f***, even if he did give acknowledgement as to how much we love him. Bench him tomorrow, can't be having this kind of thing go unchecked.

This post has been merged from a topic called 'The Wilfried Zaha Thread' by Midlands Eagle This post has been merged from a topic called 'Zaha wants out' by Midlands Eagle My source tells me there are bids on the table from Arsenal and Dortmund and have been for a while. However, I’ve posted Zaha stuff on here from the same source in the past which hasn’t materialised! If he wants Champions League, he won’t get it with Arsenal. I wish him luck wherever he goes. Doubt we’ll ever see a player as good as him again in a Palace shirt. Edited by Goal Machine (20 Apr 2019 8.53pm) Edited by Goal Machine (20 Apr 2019 8.54pm)
