I agree mate - he will walk unless there are improvements to the squad. I think he'll make it until the end of the season and then go.
The players out of contract are not worth renewing which means, as you say, we're bang in trouble at the start of next season - without considerable investment. That investment does not look likely to happen.

Yes agreed , as someone said in an earlier post it looks like we are preparing for a championship squad with all the 17 18 year old players we have bought lately and sending out on loan . Alot of the ones out of contract are over 30 and not worthy of another years contract because of the pace of the game and i cant see the yanks investing in 6-9 new players up to premier league standards . I cant see Patrick taking a step down to the championship either.

I wouldn't be surprised if he walked either and you couldn't blame him.

Expect there to be vacancies at West Ham, Leicester and Everton shortly. I could see all of them approaching him.

If we don't go down this year, just think what next season would be like with Wilf off and other half a dozen needing replacing.

I just get the feeling that the board have come to the conclusion that they aren't prepared to invest as half the squad will need changing by next season. Relegation would give them the chance to spend a few years rebuilding the team, waiting for academy players to come through.

Seems to me Parish is rather like the Conservative Party.
Both have run out of steam!!

I'm not sure who we are going to get in, who will make us perform that much better with an imbalanced squad. We have ONE fit for purpose midfielder, one other (Hughes) that may make a decent squad player.

It is the awful summer window and the fact that it won't be rectified this one which is the problem, not the manager.

I'm not saying he doesn't have faults, but we aren't going to attract any one much better with a board that is refusing to invest in the sqaud.

You keep repeating yourself. Have a look at the league and our position. Also consider what the board offers any potential new manager. Not a lot I'd suggest.

He has a point though ! I know this might be a popular statement but at least with Roy we were near enough guaranteed survival . Ok it was not as exciting to watch but id rsther watch Roy ball and stay in the league than be the most exciting team to get relegated . I also think that we are in a false position in the table at the mo. We are very easy to beat now , the next 9 games will tell alot . investment is needed , and players play better when not playing out of position .

Of this there can be no doubt. Don't know whether PV will still be here after these games, but I'm thinking of our history with managers and I'm concluding that the next one will be in the same boat.

On the BBS there are reports that Danjuma has flown in to London regarding a possible loan move.

We should be trying to get him, goalscoring winger,c'mon Palace he's a top player.

I agree with you ther south , we dont want to be the next Everton who go through more managers than players . We do need a complete overhaul almost of the squad and it doesnt matter who is in charge. Who is to blame , the manager the board or the current players or past management . I dont know. Maybe all . It is a bit worrying .

I think that when Roy didn't have an aging squad in the beginning and had some quality to pick from that it was a lot more exciting than the dross we have to watch at the moment.
We used to have more shots at goal that's for sure.
And although the board should back Vieira a bit more, they have also bought him Eduard, Mateta, Richards and Hughes and he decides to play none of them!

I'd much rather play 2 up front and hit balls in behind teams than all this @rsing around at the back and getting nowhere!

PV has a far better squad than Roy ever Had, He is the worst type of manager we could have, inflexible, close-minded, soft, inexperienced, i would rather have Derry and Paddy in charge, with McArthur as Coach, they would put some steel and organisation in the team, look at the league position in 10 games.

I think that was always the plan. Just needed a bit more top level experience
