I get the impression that if RH quietly pulled Benteke aside and (after giving a long list of reasons with examples for the decision) told him that he was benched for the rest of the season, Benteke would just shrug his shoulders.
I see no footballing desire in him whatsoever. Comes on with 10/15 minutes to go, no chasing, no harrying, no movement, no control, and essentially a body language that suggests he is not interested.

His stupid " hands to the ears " thing was a sign he had lost any interest in this club.

The penalty fiasco showed he thinks he is bigger than the management team.

I believe financially he is a total loss now, give his place on the bench to someone who wants to try and has a future. He can go and train with the kids and see his profile and value diminish to the point where his next contract after Palace will be much worse financially.

Responsibility Deficit Disorder is a medical condition. Symptoms include inability to be corrected when wrong, false sense of superiority, desire to share personal info no else cares about, general hubris. It's a medical issue rather than pure arrogance.
