They will need to come from the indicative vote process. It wont be a menu, but there should be a few main options there. Customs union/single market etc. Any options need to: 1 - be cleared with EU beforehand Re deliberately blocking, you may be correct, but isnt Corbyn a famous euro skeptic? Either way, over 30 Tory brexiteers voted against her plan today, its not just Labour and I think those tories want Brexit, dont they? There your argument falls down a little bit. Labour has a brexit plan which includes a customs union, which makes the DUP feel a lot better I would think. So the way for you to win your position is to block anyone who doesnt agree with you having a voice?
Remainer MP's from both parties should be disqualified from a final vote. They are obstructing democracy. This is an unprecedented situation and needs an original solution. This is a way forward that honours the referendum and at least, maintains the illusion of democracy.

At the end of the day, today was the day when Labour stopped Brexit for their own political purposes. They would have opposed any deal agreed by a Tory PM. Just like JRM and the ERG I am not sold on the May deal but as JRM said, half a loaf is better than no bread at all and many recognised that whilst the deal was not ideal, the alternatives were unpalatable and the deal would have delivered Brexit. Edited by Willo (29 Mar 2019 4.14pm) How can you blame labour if she couldn't convince her own party to back it?

Irony is even doing that might not get May's deal through. Given those tactics over here gun laws could be changed easily. Sadly, it doesnt work that way, Hrolf. 1 vote is just as good as the next.

Edited by Willo (29 Mar 2019 4.14pm) Rees-Mogg disgraced himself today and showed his true colours. He was saying even 2 days ago that he would 100% support and stand with the DUP, and be led by them in the vote. Total weasel. When you see him at your dinner party, Willo (if it was you that said that) be sure to point out what a lying little rat he is.

Rubbish. There can be no second vote on leaving. The only question is how we leave and that is completely different. Since some Remainers have suggested that the public were not qualified to decide if we left or remained, then they surely can't be clever enough to decide how. Please don't try and pretend that this is anything more than an attempt to reverse the referendum result. Remainers have been trying to do that from day one. It's a bit ridiculous that MPs can vote many times over with hindsight of all the implications, and still be unable to come to a unanimous conclusion, yet the public were supposed to decide 3 years ago just once and seemingly have foresight of what Brexit would entail Edited by Pussay Patrol (29 Mar 2019 6.43pm)

Indeed it was "Yours Truly" who mentioned about meeting JRM at a dinner party. As JRM said in his own eloquent way, half a loaf is better than no bread and at the end of the day he was one of the many Conservative MPS who voted for Brexit in order to respect the result of the referendum. So I shall NOT be pilloring him at all, quite the reverse.
