With much better players around him and in a team which plays far more on the front foot, in my humble opinion this will benefit him. Players like Zaha and dare I say Meyer would look a whole lot better with quality players all around them.
Trump lost. Badly. Hahahahahahaha. |

Had to happen. The style of football we have played under Hodgson this year has been some boring, negative and turgid fair. Can’t blame a flair player for wanting no part of that. He might be seeing his career slip away, like some others at the club and therefore he is correct to want to move on. I concur with the general thrust of these comments.

With respect, I think that's precisely the point Willo was making.

If he does go to another Prem team I'd rather Tottenham than any of the others, but I feel Dortmund would be his best choice. Unlikely to want to move his family though.

This post has been merged from a topic called 'The Wilfried Zaha Thread' by Midlands Eagle This post has been merged from a topic called 'Zaha wants out' by Midlands Eagle I think he's worth far more to us than any other club would ever bid for him, largely because his end product still isn't consistent enough and his attitude problems on the pitch only seem to be getting worse, allowing opponents to remove him as a threat simply by winding him up. If he demands a move we might get only £50 million or so for a player without whom we'd have been relegated many times by now.

He’s the type of big money signing that could get managers sacked. Hardly a surprise he wants to go. Who would we rather keep, Zaha or Hodgson.

We’ve built his career up, twice, so would expect stuff like that to be kept behind closed doors. Not that I’m entirely convinced the quotes are genuine.

We all knew this day would come. He’s outgrown us. A player of his talent rightly has ambitions far loftier than ours. I’m not even sure what our ambitions are beyond 17th place. He’s one of two high value assets that we have on the playing staff, we are broke, up to our eyeballs in ffp. Of course he was always going to go. The only factor here is whether some one actually stumps up the cash for him.

Well I don’t know about you lot but I am a Crystal Palace supporter and I support the players playing for my club. All this BS about these players that have been “good servants” to our club and they deserve the chance to go elsewhere bla bla bla. They get paid very well for playing for the club I support and we pay for a lot of that and I probably earn in a year what they earn in two days!!!!!!!!!! If he wants to leave so be it but it doesn’t mean I have to be happy for him and I definitely won’t be supporting someone who doesn’t play for the CLUB I SUPPORT!!!! Agree 100%

If anyone was remotely interested in him the last thing he'd do is go public like this and jeopardise it. We all know that agents and managers have ways of tapping players up on the sly, if the big teams had any interest in him the wheels would already be in motion and he'd have no need to do this.

I don't usually agree with any of your views, but you are right on this one.
