If the media reported fairly on Trump and not make personal attacks on him and also members of his administration, then maybe they wouldn't get flack. They constantly call him mentally unstable and unhinged which is unprofessional at best and personal abuse at worst. In April’s White House Correspondents Dinner, comedienne Michelle Wolf took personal attacks at press secretary Sarah Hukerbee Sanders, taking the piss out of her appearance and Southern roots. Washington Post columnist and MSNBC contributor Jennifer Rubin said Sanders should be harassed publicly as a 'life sentence.' MSNBC host Nicolle Wallace suggested that Sanders should be choked. It goes on... The rhetoric against her ramped up by the media means she is the first ever US press secretary to have Secret Service protection. The media promotes the narrative from the Democrats that Republican politicians should be hounded in restauramts, gas stations and other public places. There's nothing mentioned in the BBC article about CNN's false Russia stories and other real fake news and nothing about the personal attacks by journalists. Hardly balanced reporting. CNN, the channel that had p*** star Stormy Daniels on for weeks on end, is now so bad that even Nickelodeon gets higher viewing figures. In the run-up to the election, Hillary Clinton got the support of more than 240 editorial boards, while Donald Trump got 19. All the 300 outlets did was make a political stunt and actually proved Trump right. Edited by Penge Eagle (16 Aug 2018 5.40pm)

The Boston Globe, the instigator of this (pathetic) 'War on Trump', happened to be in collusion with the Clinton campaign to boost Hillarys 'presence'. I wonder what else they're crap at.

Current US GDP at well over 4 percent. Obama never had it over...what was it 2.3? Historic low black unemployment....polls for Trump at over 42 percent approval. All the people who talked about the economy crashing and burning from the supposed moron Trump taking over have perhaps proved that they themselves don't know what they are talking about. You can find a ton of them early on in this thread.....they all ran away and don't post anymore. When they were slagging off Trump and praising Obama and wanting Clinton....in reality they were keeping people out of jobs and America weaker. Trump may not be likeable perhaps but he puts his country first and America is currently blooming relative to the previous years. Edited by Stirlingsays (18 Aug 2018 6.35pm)

Growth of our economy here is due to the tax bill passed last year which was stimulus late in the business cycle. Factor in that the effect is more corporate... leading to additional buybacks and dividends, nothing for the equity market to do but go up. Inflation still remains moderate, but the Fed has a tough job to do in threading the needle. There are a lot of signs here in the US that the consumer is getting free with money again, look at retail sales and corporate earnings within the discretionary sector. As a lifelong Republican, I can fairly say Trump is an idiot and is disgusting all at the same time. He lucked out to get a Republican Congress at the same time...any other Republican would've passed a tax bill in that scenario, too. It doesn't make up for any of the other ridiculousness of his administration.

Hence no tax bill, no nothing......No supreme court turning conservative. Without this guy the Republicans were house parties with no chance of the executive. Hell, with the demographics changing year on year in the US Trump will probably be the only chance you have for Republican policies......thanks to the idiotic pro immigration actions of past presidents....Republicans included.

I dunno, I look at the world I live in and I dont like much of what I see. I just find the US self centered and too inward looking, but then so is Europe. By comparison, there is an upheaval everywhere else in the world, which troubles me. The unstoppable migration of people from Africa particularly ,where kids are dying from hunger and disease every second of the day, contrasting with fat, overweight people in first world countries entering disgusting eating competitions. This is not right, so forget analysing these global fat cat pollies.

Irrelevant in terms of real growth when the vast majority of 'funds' used to inflate the GDP figure is borrowed, ie our old friend debt. So no, America is far from ''blooming'' tbf. They are just as screwed as the rest of us but if Trump does succeed in screwing The Fed then every single American should applaud him.
